And they won that one hit game. Even how bad we are having it, Tampa Bay must be having it that much worse. Dismal year so far for them. Predicted by some experts to reach the World Series.

You have to hope some of their guys are free agents next year. They've been together since the last year we went to the World Series. Their mojo is crazy, everything seems to go their way in the regular season, but they can't win a playoff series to save their lives.

Yep......Joey Gallo, who leads the minors in homers with 18, came out of the game with high Class A Myrtle Beach after he did not slide when thrown out caught stealing.

Darvish has not clicked with Robinson Chirinos, the front-line catcher. In three starts with Chirinos, Darvish is 0-1 with a 4.67 ERA in 171/3 innings.

Darvish had more success with J.P. Arencibia, going 3-1 with a 1.22 ERA in 37 innings. The Rangers demoted Arencibia on Tuesday, sending him to Triple-A Round Rock on an outright assignment.

One other note from DMN:

With Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera on the infielder corners and prospect Nick Castellanos set to go to left field, the Tigers, who lost to Boston in the 2013 ALCS, were primed to slug more and catch less. By adding Kinsler and subtracting Fielder, the Tigers were able to make a much bigger set of dominoes fall.

Kinsler immediately gave them more athleticism at second base. They were able to fill Fielder’s spot with Cabrera, who is more natural and more fluid at first base. They were able to slot Castellanos for third base, which is his natural position. And they were able go out and seek an athletic left fielder, landing the speedy Rajai Davis.

The results have been dramatic. Kinsler has split the leadoff spot, hitting second when Davis leads off. It gives the Tigers a far greater speed dynamic at the top of the order.

That's why Gimenez is his "personal" catcher going forward. (and should be getting the start again today)
