That's why Gimenez is his "personal" catcher going forward. (and should be getting the start again today)

Isn't this Gimenez's first game to catch Yu? If so, then it's a tad early to be casting this label isn't it? And wouldn't that just be par for the course to find out Yu hates em both.

Seems like last season Soto did a real good job with him. But he's still months away last I heard. You know of any updates on his injury?

Darvish must really not like Chirinos.

And I havent heard a peep on Soto. Hear occasional things on Holland & Profar...but not on Soto. Seems odd.

Good heavens. That's a pretty damning statement, especially since he hasn't caught a pitch yet.

And how about this, if Yu so decides he can't be successful pitching to either one, are we stuck with bringing back JPA?

And like you, it's "way" to quiet on the Soto update front. Last I saw on him was weeks ago and it wasn't positive.

Way to start the contest Rangers. Kid bloops one in and then we run into a very easy out, which is followed by a walk. The EA has the base stolen and Choo fowls the ball off.

And another caught stealing. 2 in the 1st.

Why put this kid who has about 20 ABs in his life at this level in this position with a lefty on the hill?

All the announcers can say, "well, this happens when you're an aggressive team." It's stupid not aggressive IMO.

Well that's a good way to let a rookie pitcher settle in. We already led the league in caught stealing. Add 2 more to the total. :L

our starting pitchers dont know how to control their pitch counts. As good as yu is, he isn't controlling it. Even if we WERE playing well, come august and september our bullpen is gonna be taxed.

I've been talking about your very point for a year and a half. Yu throws way too many pitches early in damn near every game. Thus, this is why he goes 6 2/3 so many times.

Makes me nuts. His stuff is so good, just throw it over the frigging plate and make em hit the ball. Give up a few Ks and go longer.

And that's what happens when you have a non ML caliber player in the line-up

Are you referring to Sardinas? He's out hitting our other option at 2nd.

You're probably right, in the grand scheme. But we've got a MASH unit on our hands and we'd/the player (s) would be better off in the minors. Just not an option right now I guess.

Is Lillibridge still in our system? If so, I'd have Sardinas down and him up. Plus, Lillibridge is much more versatile.
