I was reading an article earlier in the day that stated the Rangers needed to bunt and steal to try and manufacture runs and I was thinking to myself that is not always true. I think that you may be giving away outs that actually cost you a chance to score runs. It is useful at times but to push that agenda consistently I believe will have the opposite affect.

Kind of like that bunt by EA in the 1st inning that he popped straight up. The poor decision made me more mad then the poor execution.

Choo lined the first pitch into right off of Ian's glove. The very next pitch EA tried to bunt and popped it straight up for an out.


We give enough outs away getting thrown out trying to steal. Lets not give them more by bunting into outs.
