That's 8 P5 OOC opponents in a 10 year span outside of UF and that's not including BYU. Clearly UF is playing a GAUNTLET of teams besides FSU while still maintaining budgetary confinements

Not sure how FSU managed to stay in the green in those years where they played BYU and Oklahoma in home-and-home series and they didn't have the home game. Must have been rough times

Don’t know if you remember but in early 2012, West Virginia backed out of their game with Florida State because they were going to the Big12. They backed out of their home and home with Michigan State as well which is how we got the MSU and Oregon games in 2014 and 2015.

They play 11 p5 teams a season...why cant Florida match up?
They can. They just don't want to.

Their fans prefer to watch the Gators vs the UT Martin Skyhawks and the Gators vs Towson Tigers. Much better than having to return a trip to Purdue or Oklahoma State after having one come in the first year. It is a very, very long plane ride to West Lafayette or Stillwater.

I thought I remembered a team backing out of a game but it was late so I wasn't trying to do any research. That accounts for the doubled up FCS schedule in 2012 but 2008 was also pretty rough

How the fuck does it not? Seriously you are so full of shit and getting called out for it.

UF has 8 conference games and the FSU game garunteed.
The layout when FSU is home is 4H-3A-1N
The layout when FSU is away is 3H-4A-1N

That leaves 3 OOC games left. No one is trying to take All 3 from UF. 2 of those every year should and will be home. What I’m proposing is UF schedule a P5 home (when FSU is away) and away (when FSU is home) which would certainly meet your requirement for 7 home games.

So you’re full of shit
Its already been explained several times moron.

One year 4 SEC home games the next year 3. On the year that its 3, then the fsu game is a home game. Thus 4 home games every year from those 8.

You're so full of shit you can't even read or do basic math.

You get ranked teams from your conference playing 8 conference games. That extra G5 helps a helluva lot.

You do realize you play 3 shit teams OOC and FSU. An when FSU is shit it’s 4 OOC teams. Not the best look.

Yeah its all a grand conspiracy that SEC teams are ranked so highly. :L

You do realize a lot of P5 teams don't even play one good team OOC in many years. UF plays more teams OOC that finish ranked and finish ranked in the top 10 over just about any stretch of time than all but a handful of other teams in America.

You spewing your ignorance about this fact is not a good look.

How many final ranked teams did fsu play in-conference in those years?

How many final ranked teams did UF play in-conference in those years?

Which team played more final ranked and final top 10 over that time?

Goddamn you are sensitive as fuck. I pointed out facts. I went back 10 years and compared 2 teams OOC schedules.

For the 2018 season Florida played 2 FCS Teams.
and it appears Florida will play 2 more FCS teams in 2019 …

Schedule doesn't look that hard to me???

Yeah it's sad. More and more top P5 teams are padding their schedule with these teams because they can do it without consequence.

I agree and I don't see why the playoff committee can't take this "padding their schedule" into consideration?. Teams will continue to do this as long as they get away with it.

You seem awfully sensitive to the facts I pointed out

UF plays more final ranked opponents than fsu.

UF's OOC schedules could have a lot more variety had fsu not CHICKENED OUT of joining the SEC.

Is the SEC the best conference in college football? Yes and it's not close

Does Florida play in the weaker division? Yes and that's also not close

Now out of those final ranked opponents.. how many did they win?

Actually this year the East was stronger than the West.

How many did UF win outside of the final ranked opponents it played? Well let's see, LSU, Mizzou, Kentucky, Georgia and Mississippi State are all ranked. That's 5. UF played 12 games so 7 opponents finished unranked. UF beat all of them and went 2-3 vs the final ranked teams.

How did fsu do against its schedule ranked and unranked this year?

But they play FSU.......

I remember when UF got a pass for playing these welding and online schools in OOC bc they played FSU every year. Now the welding and online schools can whip FSU’s ass. Can’t use that excuse anymore....

I remember when Bevo used to play aTm but as soon as aTm joined another conference, Bevo chickened out and decided to drop their longstanding series with their in-state rival.

It would probably be more fitting at this point for Texas to change the mascot from a cow to a chicken.
