I'm sure Utah State could beat Iowa, Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota and Illinois this season. That isn't really to far fetched either IMO.

Mich St defense would have to score 2 TD's yet again.

UCLA and ASU are the top contenders but who knows how bad they want it.

One thing's for certain, It's not going to be gift wrapped for UCLA this year, and I don't think they will 3peat anyway.

Ironbreaker, you are probably the closest to one to the situation in the South: the whole South is a sleeper cell. The South will be a dogfight. SC has not looked good so far but they still have a defense are not out yet. Yes, Utah is definitely in the mix well on their way as a contender. Every team is on the rebuild and none so far along as likely to be undefeated in the South. Any one of five could take it. Hopefully, number 6 will soon be in the mix as well.

All I can say is lets get by Oregon State If Utah Pounds the beaves then I can honestly say they will be in the hunt to play for the south. They look good though.

While Utah is an improved product this year with finally a real QB, they are going to still get blasted by many PAC teams once conference play begins.

This is pretty much my point. Red_Alert is in full on angry child mode, calling names and desperately trying to make Utah State look like a serious win. Utah is irrelevant in the actual landscape of the NCAA. Like I said before, this thread is like me making a thread about Minnesota being legit.
