I'm sure Utah State could beat Iowa, Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota and Illinois this season. That isn't really to far fetched either IMO.
Mich St defense would have to score 2 TD's yet again.

The south is up for grabs with USC pulling a no show.
UCLA and ASU are the top contenders but who knows how bad they want it.
One thing's for certain, It's not going to be gift wrapped for UCLA this year, and I don't think they will 3peat anyway.
The whole south is a sleeper cell!!!
My moneys on ASU.
since when is beating Oregon State in Salt Lake make you a contender for the south?? Oregon State will be lucky to win 6 games this year.
That's not what my OP implied.
The Oregon St/Utah game is secondary discussion.
Like I said. Oregon St fell off the map when they lost to E. Washington.
All I can say is lets get by Oregon State If Utah Pounds the beaves then I can honestly say they will be in the hunt to play for the south. They look good though.
Unless they are playing EWU.
No not you. Ute was talking about holding off on claiming they are in the running for the South until they beat Oregon State.
The second the clock hitz "zero" and Oregon has punched in an "L" will be the day nothing but excuses flow thru Duck fans mouths and what a day that will be. After the second Duck "l" of the year I'm sure the crickets will still be singing.
Carryon about EWU all ya want, I'm a patient man just waiting for my time to watch when you squirm a slimy trail.![]()
