Is there any benefit to cut a player rather than trading for a 7th rounder?

Fournette has cleared waivers. What happens next depends on Fournette's grievance against the Jaguars, what off-set language there was in his contract, what any team is willing to pay Fournette, and what Fournette is willing to accept. He'd be foolish to play for next to nothing.

.... ap is ancient , mckissic is “ok” as a receiver and if your young runners aren’t beating out a cast off and a very aging runner, then u got issues, of
Course imho
Problem is I don’t see fornette being any better. Now if there happens to be some olinemen or wr available redskins will or should pounce.

in breach of contract issues, the person suing for breach (Fournette in this case) has a responsibility to mitigate his losses, which means that he would need to look for another contract. He can't simply sit on his hands and expect to take in the millions he may be owed.

I don't believe any team is looking for a starting running back 2 weeks before the season starts they had all offseason and a draft to figure that out. Without knowing their cap situation I would say the bucs would be the team if I were them to go after Leonard Fournette.

bucs 1.4 mil in cap space not going there

seahawks/eagles/bears/colts/football team and phins could all use a RB:suds:

BOOM called it Fournette to the Bucs

LF isnt a world beater but he had almost no help in Jax. Saw a ton of 8 man boxes and still nearly put out 1700 scrimmage yards last year
