Kirk Cousins will have better numbers than almost every HOFer when he's done.

Anybody think of him needing to be in Canton? Collecting his bonus pension and appearance fee...

I think like baseball cumulative stats have to be there. Being elite a few years is less impressive than being excellent over a long career.
Rivers has not been excellent over a long career though.

I disagree with the cumulative stats comment. I think it should all be compared to others in your era. Rivers was never a top 3 QB in his era. Didn't lead a championship team. He's been good for a long time. That is all. Now if he would have been thought of as one of the 3 best QB's a couple of the seasons he has played, it would be different. But he wasn't. He was never thought of as better than Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers or several others.

Again, I would like to see the HOF more strict.

Rivers is top 3 all time in tds to ints ratio for players with at least 300 td passes.

Nice stat.
He still was never a top 3 QB in the league in any year he has played in.

If Rivers gets in, Ryan will too.
I wouldn't put either of them in at this point.

I think Rivers is there, 350 tds to just 167 ints, 51,354 yards 64.3 % and a 95.2 passer rating beats most QBs in the HOF.

Hank Aaron never hit 50 hrs in a season, but he had more seasons with at least 35 hrs than anybody else.

Has Rivers ever come up big when it counted?

Never

Voting needs to be adjusted for eras, cause every QB playing today is gonna be shattering long standing records

It's already adjusted. QBs used to get in with 250 tds, now it probably takes 350 or more.

Yep. Going with the stats of a pass happy league of today, 1/4 of the QB's are HOF bound.

Kenny Stabler 194 td passes 222 ints...HOFer
Bart Starr - 133 td passes...HOFer.
Those stats wouldn't make an all star team now, let alone the HOF.

You are right because it is a different era. Now you are getting why using Rivers stats do not qualify him.
