Statistically, if you put Eli and Ben in the HoF, you have to put Rivers in as well. However, him not winning a Super Bowl, in my opinion, hurts him. He's got about the same passing yardage, he's been to more pro bowls than Ben and Eli, he's more accurate then Ben and Eli, he's got less INTs and more TDs than Ben and Eli. The only real difference are the Super Bowls.

if you are a QB that puts up huge career numbers, you will get in .... doesn't make it right but it's the way things are.

Phillip Rivers is a HOF'er if other guys with inflated volume stats are getting in. Period. If you have to underpants-gnome logic this away, you're wrong.

Yup, win the game they are supposed to, some Miami home game or shit, than proceed to lose to New England

Could they not have their defensive line if rivers was there?

We can revise history if we want and act like Eli wasn't either very good or sensational in both those postseason runs, pretty much the polar opposite of Phil Rivers in big games

Or act like Rivers hasn't been surrounded by Hall of Famers and higher rated defenses his entire career, including both SB years for Eli

And we can definitely act like Phil Rivers isn't like 1-9 Vs the Pats in his career, I doubt that would have been beneficial to the Giants considering they kinda played NE in both SBs

Ah yes. Eli held the Patriots to 14 points even though the offense scored exactly the same as league average against the Patriots.

Would have loved to see that game play out if those two were healthy/playing. Still think the Pats probably win but it would have been fun to see
