Manning wins it, but it won't be unanimous. There was that contingent in the media that was desperate to make this a race between Manning and Wilson just a few weeks ago. That alone tells you that some people really didn't want Manning to be the MVP again.

Whoever votes for anyone but Peyton for MVP this season is simply a jackass & doesn't deserve a vote.

/thread.

:agree:

An old quarterback with a broken neck ... who would have thought. They probably make his surgery illegal in the future.

Just so it's clear ... Peyton Manning unanimous.

Simple logic at this point. Petyon gets the MVP.

The fact that Peyton has a poor playoff records is something every football fan can see. Its not an opinion it's black and white. The MVP is a regular season award and there is no one else that should be considered this year. But as in 2007 when Brady won with a vote of 49 to 1 vote someone will vote for another player.

Yeah and in 07, that idiot who didn't vote for Brady should have had his vote taken away just like if someone keeps it from being unanimous this year. As for Peyton's play-off record, we all know about it but it is completely irrelevant to this thread, period. There is absolutely no point in bringing it up and it's annoying to say the least that you guys do this every fucking time his name comes up.

51 TDs in 15 games is nothing to scoff about, and he will probably get a few more when all is said and done. The Broncos D has been pathetic at times and the O has delivered on the shoulders of Peyton. However, you need to factor the in MV part of acronym. There are players, not QBs, that have had a huge impact on their teams. Maybe MV should stand for most venerated instead of most valuable.

I understand where you are coming from. Quite often in all sports, that MVP title isn't really about the most valuable to his teams success but which player is the most dynamic offensive star in the game that year. Some years, this argument can be made for someone in a less glamorous position but this really isn't one of those years. It's not just the record breaking numbers for Manning this year but he completely orchestrates that entire offense on the field and makes every player on that team better. This year has been historic. It's a Babe Ruth's 60 HR, Wayne Gretztky's 215 point type of season.

Not sure this year though that there has been a player more valuable to his team's success. I mean the Broncos had a game earlier in the year where the defense gave up 48 points yet Peyton and the offense still found a way to win by scoring 51. Before Peyton came to the Broncos just look at the careers of the players he is playing with right now. D. Thomas had some success but he only ran about 2 routes of the route tree with the go route and the crossing route. He had never come close to getting a thousand yards in a season. Same goes for Decker. Then his TE is a guy that before this season had 1 catch in his career and had only played college football for 1 or 2 years as he started out as a basketball player. His running back had never had a thousand yard season and was even considered as a possible cut back in August. His OL is missing his All-Pro LT and only has 2 starters from the unit that started last season. Yet somehow even with all that he put up historical numbers over the past 2 seasons. So I would say his value is irreplaceable on this team.

PM is a lock for MVP. The next player in line is on the other side of the grand canyon. Kind of boring, because there is no drama, yet we have a 50 plus thread on it.
