LMAO

And I'm trying to hold a reasonable conversation with you?

"Class, help Eric"...

Good catch, I'll admit I've never written the saying before. Always heard "ride".

My grammar sucks for a college graduate, I guess. :noidea:

You just gotta roll with the punches around here, Eric. We all take some shots here at the Hoop.

Hell, take me for instance. I've made over 42,000 posts and I'll bet at least 3 of them were stupid

More wins, no BCS appearances or title appearances. Nebraska has managed to not be as bad as ND worst years, and not as good as their better years. Plus Nebraska played on average easier opponents throughout that stretch. Neither is anything worth mentioning to be honest.

Notre Dame's schedule is the greatest myth in college football. for over a decade they just played a bunch of names outside of Michigan and USC. The last couple of years it really picked up but mostly because the historic doormats like Stanford got better.

I meant they are going to have a tough time beating them in recruiting, for kids, in the midwest. Which is where they are going to be playing all their games, all the time, outside of maybe 1 or 2. Which comes back to the whole question, is the FOOTBALL program better off for joining the B1G? They have the 39th best recruiting class this year. Probably the worst in their history. I think the product/brand isn't going to get back to where it was in the 90's and early 2000's.

Yes. The football program is better off for joining the Big 10.
Nebraska has never had highly ranked recruiting classes, even back in the Osborne days. They never got the media exposure that Notre Dame and Michigan did either. The difference between then and now is they no longer play sound fundamentally disciplined football. They're sloppy.

Notre Dame's SOS on average over the last 10 years is 26.2. Feel free to take the time to see where that compares with other schools. I used the colley matrix SOS figures.

That I can agree with. Osborne was a great coach, one of the best of all time.

Dumb Fuck.

How many votes does New York have in the B1G? Zero or four? the HQ is not moving from Chicagoland, it is just an east coast office at this time. There is even an office in Washington DC.

Can the commissioner of the conference be influenced by New York as Beebe was by the Sate of Texas? Nope. Ever seen Delany wearing one schools colors? Nope. Ever see Beebe wearing Texas Orange at a football game? yup.

Now if the HQ was moved to Columbus Ohio, then it would be bad. But it isn't, no state in the B1G can cast more than two votes currently. In the Big 12 Texas BLOCKED everything because they always had a minimum of four votes. Politics in Texas has dictated that UT Austin is the king. All you UT Austin boys talk how you are big brother.

Dumber fuck. Pretty sure the conference voted 12-0 to move the Big 12 HQ to Dallas and voted 11-1 in favor of moving the Big 12 CCG to Jerry World for the next 5 years back in 2010. Don't think Texas blocked that one, shit for brains. You do know that Big 12 members only have 1 vote each, right?

Fuck Notre Dame and their over-rated football program. They've always recruited "better" than Nebraska in the expert rankings and easily had more media exposure than Nebraska. They haven't had near the success Nebraska has had.

2013 (9-4)
2011 (8-5)
2010 (8-5)
2009 (6-6)
2008 (7-6)
2007 (3-9)
2004 (6-6)
2003 (5-7)
2001 (6-6)
1999 (5-7)

Is that really what you're bloviating about?

I despise Notre Dame with every fiber of my being. Fucking losers.

This shit is out of hand. Let's get a few things straight:

There is one motive which we all know to be true behind why the Big 10 decided to add Rutgers and Maryland: Eyes on the TV.

Rutgers and Maryland are fucking jokes of programs, yes. The potential revenue their viewership in the New York and D.C. markets can bring in IS NOT.

I see zero problem with shelling out extra cash to the whole conference while we take turns shitting on Maryland and Rutgers. We're laughing all the way to the bank.

Shatel's naive at best and a fucking moron at worst if he thinks football is taking a backseat by adding these schools.

It's a cash cow. Plain and simple. Doesn't hurt us in any way. Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio St. and Penn St. will prosper and bring in the big money while the minions below help bring in the viewers and thus the $$$$$$

I won't lie though, we've been fucking up bad lately. Coaching changes, scandals, serious allegations and ramifications from said allegations. I think the rain is gone and we're starting to focus on the important shit like ramping up recruiting efforts and cleaning up our brand. The Big 10 is closer to being the best conference in the country than people would like to admit.

And to the sooner fans who continually use the "bogatory" line: Stop projecting. We know how frustrated you are with Stoops.
