In 2006? Tebow barely threw the ball. 33 pass attempts all year and only 89 rushing attempts. KB already has that beat and Lawrence has 23 attempts already. They are being used interchangeably while Tebow and Leak weren't used like that at all.
Tebow played a lot that year, he was a sparkplug off the bench that would fire the team up when he came in. But he was mostly a runner that year when he did come in.

It was pretty clear to me. I think I saw Lawrence play 1 series in the second half, and it was a 3 and out or something, then Bryant played the entire rest of the game when things were really on the line, and he scored a TD.

When 1 QB basically plays the entire 2nd half with the game still on the line - that's who your starting QB is. The other guy is getting experience time.
A starting QB takes 100% of the snaps imo

Bryant is holding onto his job by a ball hair and he knows it. Not the mindset you want your “starting” QB to have.

So Tua isn't the starting Alabama QB?

Non-sense.

Different cause the backup isn’t better

Jalen plays because we want to get him the experience even though he isn't our QB. But when it comes to the majority of the meaningful plays, it's Tua.

Maybe the other guy will eventually take over if Bryant struggles enough. But to me it's pretty clear that Bryant is the starter right now and the one they rely on. Lawrence might have a limited playbook etc, dont know - but he is a true freshman. Talent and ability/knowledge to run a college offense are 2 different things. Tua sat on the bench last year.

KB will be the starter going forward and it's not even close. TL is talented, but lacks experience, especially in big games. KB solidified his starting role in that game.

Every situation is different. There are multiple reasons where
two QB's can play. Sometimes it's for experience. Sometimes
it is to maintain confidence in the other QB. Sometimes it's
better for the team.

We had a two-QB system between 77-79, based on an intangible
skill set. The previous 4 years we logged a combined record 9-29.

The three years we had the dual system we were 29-5.

We had two QB's from the same HS...Tally Leon, which was a premier
HS passing team. One of them was Jimmy Jordan, who had a rocket
for a right arm, but was, average at best, reading defenses.

Wally Woodham, had an above average arm, but had a sense
about the other team's defense. He KNEW what coverage they
would be in.

Thus the better the team Woodham would get the start. If
the opponent was equal or lesser than us...Jordan got the start.
(They both would get snaps in every game. Maybe three or four
series for the non-starter.

The best example in 1977 was when we played Florida. Now they
had won 9 straight vs us. They were 5-3-1 coming into the contest
and Bobby gave the start to Woodham...believing UF had a superior defense able to disguise coverages. Our first series,
Wally marches us down the field in 8 or 9 plays for a score. Every
receiver we had was wide open. The next series Jimmy was in their. The coaches realized that UF couldn't cover/keep up with
our receivers. Thus they went to the Rocket arm. Now Wally
would get a few more series in the game, but Jimmy led us to a
37-9 rout over them.

We played situational football with our QB's and it worked for
3 years.

The 2 QBs are gay lovers and Dabo wants to give them the chance to ride each other on and off the field to the fulfillment of their ultimate fantasy.
