Is Baker Mayfield a Top 10 QB

A cancer? Seems a bit over the top as the only players I have heard talk about him (not reports of what others think) seem to still keep in contact with the guy and like him (Chubb and Ward).

Just look at his reactions during a game. How many others does he need to throw under the bus before you call him a cancer. His teammates won't even come to his aid. Sure two friends are going to call him out? Love this forum.

I wasn't trying to say none of BM's former teammates had something nice to say about him. But it seems like more have nothing to say about him.

Too bad things had to end this way in Cleveland for him. He showed at times some dam good potential. But overall his 4 years didn't live up to what most of us Browns fans were hoping for.

as I said, how do you know - like Chubb and Ward - they don't talk to him privately? Really is possible they fell like sticking up for him publicly might not be the best thing to show the new QB, even if their comments are not directly mentioning Watson.

None of this is to say he doesn't have teammates who don't like him. I'm confident in saying there are some. But I think those calling him toxic or a cancer is overblown.

He was surrounded by plenty of stars on both sides of the ball. They had ample picks that they swung and missed on as well. But they had plenty of talent. There were drafts and players selected before BM arrived. Almost every year they had a 900+ yard receiver as well as a 900 yard rusher. Oh and please don't make this sound like defense didn't help.

NE would've died to have all those picks and potential talent.

It's not hard to see if you take the blinders off how a 0 win team becomes a playoff team.

I wasn't ridiculing Baker, I was trying like others on here to show you Baker does not hold all the cards. Especially given his prima donna attitude.

Please tell me the stars he played with on offense that season. Even Chubb cannot be listed as he was a rookie and barely played as Haley chose to play Hyde over him.

The defense in 2018 was not good at all.

Never once said "Baker holds all the cards" nor disagreed he could be a prima donna (or a drama queen).

Can you name someone by name who threw Baker under the bus other than OBJ (and, really, only his father did with an actual comment)?

Absolutely mind boggling people think the Browns won't get anything for Mayfield when Washington gave up 2....not 1, but 2 3rd rounders for Carson Wentz.

Well....in fairness.....he is an upgrade over Heinicke and with that defense....and receivers ....they could be a sleeper to win East.

If the redskins win the east it will be because of defense & running game.
Philly definitely nailed the off season.

I would be more afraid of the redskins if Mayfield was their starting QB than Wentz.
Wentz went to one of the most complete teams in the NFL last year & failed to make the playoffs even. The only thing the Colts lacked was the QB position. I was happy (obviously) to hear Wentz was going to the Skins.

The Giants still suck, but Pholly and Washington upgraded....it's certainly possible (not gonna guarantee it) the Cowboys are the 3rd place team in the East next season.

Hey you're the one that said they (Chubb & Ward) keep in touch with BM, comment # 1122. Wanted to mention the exact comment of yours just in case you try to deny what you said. I asked you for legit proof of that, not your opinion.
