Is anyone willing to pay the price for Demarcus Cousins?

He'd be great on a team with a hard nosed coach that has won (like Doc or Pops) and/or a team with vets to knock some sense to him.

He might respect some veterans but I don't see him every accepting a disciplinarian coach. Maybe Phil Jackson could coddle the big baby?

Guys like Doc Rivers and Greg Popvich aren't solely strict disciplinarians though. They'd adhere to high standards but what makes them great is they can get through to multiple types of players. Cousins' current coach, Keith Smart, has disciplinarian tendencies and it obviously isn't working. That's why I think he'd be better suited in an environment similar to what those coaches provide. I think he could do well in Chicago with Thibideau (butchered sp?) as well or NY under Woodson

Oh man, I didn't even think about Pop. And he'd have Timmy to calm him down and show him how to be a man, too. Interesting!

I could see Cousins doing well under Pop. His talent is undeniable, I'd say the Lakers should look into it, but I'm afraid the next headline would be:

"Kobe Bryant breaks hand punching DeMarcus Cousins in the face"

I don't think he would be a good fit with Byron Scott. He can't even get his players to play well. So he won't be able to control Demarcus.

Could easily be better than Dwight if he can screw his head on straight.

That was almost two years ago. He was fine at the time.

Not sure what even happened two years ago..

I was talking more about you implying Woodson was still a head coach in New York.

I wasn't implying. He was NY's coach two years ago when I made that post.

To bad Dumars was fired or Detroit would have sent Drummond and a first rounder for him.

You could have had Smith and Cousins on the same team.

I never thought this guy would ever figure it out. I thought he would end up untapped potential. Great to see him flourishing. His time with Team USA and Mike Malone left a very positive impact on him. He's a beast.
