I have a new one. Madison Bumgarner
Nolan Ryan
That would kinda be like playing Russian Roulette with bullets in three out of six chambers.
It becomes a very interesting comparison when you look at it closer....
Pedro over his career of 2827 innings had a 154 ERA+, 1.05 WHIP and 4.15 K/BB.
Johnson by comparison had 1300 more innings than Pedro, but if you break it down, he had a 2775 inning stretch (close to Pedro's career total) from 1993-2005 where he had a 160 ERA+, 1.08 WHIP and 4.28 K/BB.
So basically, Johnson had a Pedro-like 'career' within his career, with an additional 1300 innings of being mediocre for the most part.
I quit watching baseball on a regular basis when they went on strike in the early 90's and he was the best pitcher I ever saw.
Seems like a solid choice to me.
