Real talk: I just think the Broncos are the better overall team, and as long as Peyton stays within the offense and establishes a run game, I think the Broncos can win this game by 10. The Steelers have a chance as long as Ben and Brown are on the field. No denying that. Clearly the most dangerous offensive duo in the game. Brown has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that absolutely nobody can cover him. It's scary. I thought we wouldn't see something like this again after Jerry Rice retired, but I guess I was wrong.

A Steelers' fan's perspective:

The Steelers had their way with this "big bad" Broncos defense several weeks ago, albeit in Pittsburgh

I do not think Roethlisberger is going to be as limited as many think. I really don't. The guy has more lives than a cat in that there have been three times this year when I was convinced his season was done, only for him to ultimately return, returning in the same game Saturday night.

Until proven otherwise, I am not a believer in the current Peyton Manning. He was one of the worst QBs in the league before being sidelined for several weeks, and his alleged "return to glory" against the Chargers featured a lot of handing off to Broncos' backs for big yardage.

If the Steelers stop the run and protect the ball, they have a great chance in this one.

They were starting new safeties that hadn't played for them. That wasn't the same defense. It's pretty simple to pick on a secondary no matter who the cover corners are if you're safeties are out of position most of the game. That was tough to watch. One of the worst 2nd halves of secondary play I've ever seen.

So I think you answered your own question.
And then fact that you were so offended by the post, that you felt the need to answer speaks even louder!!!

Next......

Well not a huge fan of trolling to derail what was a decent conversation about actual football. If that's all you guys want to do this week go ahead but was hoping to have a nice actual football conversation with some Steelers fans.

Which is fine, because I never included you into the earlier conversation you just jumped one in and I just took it as another one wanting to ride that ride.

Wanna talk football by all means, lets do it.

Now while I will agree with you on the Manning side of things of just as much as your QB is a question mark so is ours. At the same time this is a very different Broncos team than the one you faced. Both of our starting safeties were out for that game and our back up safety well your OL player did a nice little cheap shot on to end his season (you think Burfict's hit was bad at least his happened while the play was still going on instead of just going full speed into the head of a player after the play is over). So then the 2 safeties still in the game were not even on a team's practice squad just a couple of weeks earlier. The Broncos starting safeties are back and are ranked the 6th and 15th best safety in the league according to PFF compared to guys who won't be on an NFL roster next season.

Throw in the Broncos were missing their defensive captain in DeMarcus Ware. All 3 of those players are healthy and ready to go. I don't think you will find things quite as easy this time around.

Alright...How about some maybe under the radar players that have had a big impact but outside of Pittsburgh very few are talking about them...Who would those players be?

What has changed over the 2nd half of the season to really have the defense playing much better than earlier? Different personnel? Players buying into the scheme?

What is the status of Williams for this one? I know everybody wants to talk about Big Ben and Brown but Williams being back would be a huge boost as well.

They have been talking about using Toussaint more than usual along with Williams this week. And yes Williams will be back.

The D has been working all of the DB's into the rotation, sort of like in hockey after 3-4 minutes you rotate others in. It has been keeping them fresh and a little more focused. It has been working well and I like it. Hell it would be an excellent scheme if we actually had some above average DB's.

DeAngelo Williams (foot) is visiting a specialist on Monday.

He's seeing the noted Dr. Robert Anderson. It suggests he's no better than 50-50 for Sunday's game against the Broncos, and perhaps a longer shot than that. Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman will form another committee if D-Will can't go. Even if D-Will does play, it might not be in the every-down role he owned after Le'Veon Bell went down.

Yes, these are legit points.

However, I don't believe that Ben is seriously hurt. He was sore when he re-entered the game in Cinci, but still able to function. Knowing how tough the guy is, I think he'll be fine by this weekend. Yes, having your regular safeties and captain back will be a big plus, but no one can pick a defense apart like Ben and his merry band of pass-catchers.

In my book, the question is not whether the Steelers can cut it on offense...the question is how will their DEFENSE perform? They've been schizophrenic this season...sometimes looking solid as a rock, and sometimes looking like swiss cheese.

You're the first non-Broncos fan I've seen mention this. I'm sure that the Steelers offense will get some plays, but I'll be shocked if they approach anything close to the numbers they had in the last game.

Toussaint and Todman looked just fine against a great Bengals D. Just proves how the value of RBs has fallen. Kind of sucks, but oh well. I like the fact that a lot of different players are getting chances these days that wouldn't have 15 years ago or so.

He literally told the coaches that he couldn't throw it far enough for a play they called. About the only deep pass he attempted he sailed way over Brown's head. I think you're kidding yourself if you don't think he's hurt.

Well if it truly was a separated shoulder then yeah it is a serious injury even if it was only a grade 1 separation. If they lied about the injury then maybe you are right. From what I saw of him on the sideline though and what I have seen others with a separated shoulder do I would say the injury is legit. Now I do think he will still play and honestly if I were him that would be a mistake with such an injury as it is one of those that can get seriously worse and we could be looking at him missing some major time even into next season if he injures it worse. Throw in he is going against the best pass rush in the NFL that is getting back one of their 2 best pass rushers for this game. I am one that thinks it will effect him in this one. I do think it is a serious injury. He is still the best option you got by far even at say 70% but again if they are not lying about the injury then good luck to him because I don't think it ends well for him.

I follow all Georgia Tech players. I've watched almost all of the Broncos games just so I could watch Thomas play. If he had better hands, he'd be right there at the top with Julio Jones and Antonio Brown, but he's still elite top 10 quality.

Yeah he has always had a small problem with drops his entire career. At the same time he does seem to find a way to make at least one huge play a game. He also seems to enjoy really having some of his biggest plays against the Steelers. Wouldn't mind another 80 yard touchdown catch to win the game.

Nope, not kidding myself, since I never said he wasn't hurt.

I said I don't think he's seriously hurt. It's a soft tissue injury; not a separation or dislocation; no damage to the actual shoulder joint. I think he'll be in far better shape this weekend than he was when he came back into the Cinci game. Maybe not 100%, but I'll take Ben at 80% over most of the QBs in the league at 100.
