NFC North teams are ranked 4, 5, 8, 20 in yards per carry. NFC West teams are ranked 10, 12, 14, 28.
2013 NFL Team Rushing Stats - National Football League - ESPN

In terms of pass blocking NFC North teams are ranked 2, 3, 13, 26. NFC West teams are ranked 16, 17, 22, 28. In terms of run blocking, NFC North teams are ranked 9, 11, 15, 25. NFC West teams are ranked 5, 12, 23, 30.
This is all according to Football Outsiders, through week 14 of the 2013 season.
FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | 2013 OFFENSIVE LINES

So it looks like not only does the NFC North have better pass blocking lines than the West, it also has better run blocking lines than the West. If you want a proposed starting 5, here it is.

LT: Matt Kalil
LG: Josh Sitton
C: Dominic Raiola
RG: Kyle Long
RT: Phil Loadholt

Well the NFCW offenses get to play against NFCW défenses. Im sure those NFCN oline rankings wouldnt look so great if they didnt play shit défenses within their division.

----lining up agaisnt Robert Quinn, Aldon Smith, Kendall Langford, Darnell Dockett with Patrick Willis, Ahmad Brooks, Navarro Bowman, Rich Sherman, Patrick Peterson, Earl Thomas, and Donte Whitner.

I am not a fan of the NFC North and think that is a pretty darn good line. I would maybe substitute Riley Reiff at the Right Tackle spot (even though Loadholt is having a better year) but that is just personal preference. I think they would do just fine against all those pass rushers. Remember after 5 yards those corners/safeties/linebackers can't lay a hand on those receivers so not like Rodgers has to sit back and wait forever for anybody to get open. Peyton has been the best quarterback all year and is averaging about 2.5 seconds per drop back and is about to break every record for quarterback play. So all the OL has to do is even just slow some of those guys down just a bit and with the quality of those players they would do just fine against those guys.

Now the NFC West OL against Suh, Fairley/Melton, Jared Allen, and Peppers could get interesting watching Russell Wilson run for his life.

Peppers and Allen are old. Briggs too. And that North secondary? a joke.

And Russell W has been running for his life since he came into the league. Been pretty good at it and in the NFC West.

You and both know he would not have alot of time.

i would love to see the match-up and would love to see the hits. LOL I don't care how good you think your O-line is, that Defense is buck nasty and would be drooling like wolves. They've been kicking QB's ass all year in the best division in football.

Rams beatdown the Saints... Really?? Brees didn't have alot of time. And we are talking about the NFC West's best here. We are looking at getting 3 teams into the playoffs and the Rams are in last place whipping Brees' ass!

Of course there is Brockers, John Abraham, Carlos Dansby, Lauranitis, Ogletree and anyone else on Seattle's D. lol

Funny how you didn't address the rest of my post, where I used facts and unbiased rankings to show you that the NFC North has better pass blocking and run blocking offensive lines than the NFC West. You, on the other hand, resort to useless rhetoric.

NFC North has 2 of the top 3 pass blocking lines in the NFL. Does the NFC West have 2 of the top 3 pass rushing lines in the NFL? Didn't think so.

I guess just ignore that the NFC North had 3 of the top 9 Sack leaders last year (by the way Allen and Peppers both were in that group with Clay Matthews the other).

SJ isn't big on facts. He argues like a politician. He literally took one of my posts, ignored the first two paragraphs, and laughed at the last line as if that was some sort of proof that his argument is correct.

Yes these guys don't even need an O-line they are so good.

Dude I already pointed out where the NFCN has much higher ranked OLs than the NFCW. If you think the NFCW would have some sort of huge advantage at the LOS over the NFCN you're kidding yourself. You guys have a big advantage in the back 4 D and we have a big advantage at all skill positions on offense. That's it in a nutshell and anything else is just blind homerism.

Ranked where? The "experts" rank the 49ers as the team with the best OL. If you add to any weak spots on their OL, you win. We may not have the best skill players on offense but our defense is complete. It's really not that close. You would not be able to run against our defense. Not even AP. He needs at least SOME space. He wouldn't have that. Your QB needs time to find an open receiver. He wouldn't have much. Your receivers need space but they'd be mirrored by the best corners in football not named Taylor or Revis.

It's not even a worthy debate. The NFCW is by far the best division. Accept it and be glad it's an, individual, team sport.

NFC North would beat the NFC West.

North would have arguably the best QB in the NFL, the best WR in the NFL, the best RB in the NFL.
Throw in stars like the 2 Bears WRs, Matt Forte, Cobb, and the North would just be able to spread out the West, making them swap some of those LBs or they would just get torched all day. Don't know how you can even draw up a game plan to defend those receivers plus have enough people to stop AP and Forte.

As for line, well, I'm sure they can take linemen from 4 teams and find one that can give Rodgers enough time.

Just no. The receivers the North have would each have to be doubled. West would not be able to field all those great LBs. Unless you want a LB covering Alshon or Marshall ect.

Mind providing a link, or a quote, to these experts? Because it sounds like you're just running your mouth. You claiming AP couldn't run against the NFCW defense is nothing but your own biased opinion.

Yet another post devoid of any factual argument. Mind responding to this? Or are you just going to avoid it like every other NFCW fan has?

In terms of pass blocking NFC North teams are ranked 2, 3, 13, 26. NFC West teams are ranked 16, 17, 22, 28. In terms of run blocking, NFC North teams are ranked 9, 11, 15, 25. NFC West teams are ranked 5, 12, 23, 30.
This is all according to Football Outsiders, through week 14 of the 2013 season.

No -- a joke would be the NFCW corp of WRs. When you have to include Crabtree (coming off an achilles injury) and Percy Harvin (who hasn't even taken a snap for Seattle) -- THAT is what you call a joke.

The 3rd WR is Larry Fitzgerald, who is basically a TE these days averaging 11 yards a catch the last two years.

That is why I said -- if the NFCW had anything remotely resembling an offense -- I'd take them in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, they have the worst unit of any division.

Yeah Robotic -- leave it to Sonny. He can tell everyone how the NFCW will smack you in the mouth. Disregard the fact the last NFCW team to win anything was the "greatest show on turf" over a decade ago and the "vaunted 49ers defense" was lit up by Baltimore in last year's Super Bowl.

If the NFCW wanted to smack someone in the mouth -- they should have done so to Joe Flacco last year, so he didn't throw for 3 tds and have a 124 QB rating.

The NFCN is trying to make their case. I will give you this: the NFCN is the division that would give us a little exertion. Other than that, no contest.

It's a done deal, guys.

Lets see which teams are in the top 5 in rushing offense.

2013 NFL Team Rushing Stats - National Football League - ESPN

#2 Seattle
#5 San Fran

There isn't a NFCN team in the top 10 even. You don't run the ball that well without a great OL. Combine the #2 and #5 OL and well.....you got a great OL. You can talk until your blue in the face, teams stat show that the West has great OLs and head to head games have shown which division is better. The West is 4-0 against the North. LOL at thinking combining the division would change that.
