Offer should be in the 13M range he originally turned down.
If it ends up being the 18M-19M deal, then James pulled another power play.

I'll also bet on option 2 there.

Seriously?!? Teams didn't have the cap space because he's only worth about $7 million and was demanding a whole lot more than he was worth. Teams had no problem clearing space for guys who were worth clearing space for.

did you know that in the last 2 years- ONE GUY- out of dozens of restricted free agents- Enes Kanter- has changed teams. Why? Because teams hate restricted free agency. And NO TEAM is going to sign a restricted free agent to an offer sheet- when they KNOW the guy is just going to sign anyway. Even if Tristan was offered a MAX CONTRACT from a team other than the Cavs he was not taking it- and i am sure every team knew that.

I'll bet you anything you want, right now, before you search, that I wrote on SportsHoopla that Tristan would be grossly overpaid this summer because of James, and that was before he even did anything that elevated his value last season.

As soon as he turned down the Cavs first offer, no one was going to even try. If he was worth it, someone would have made an offer just to see if the Cavs blinked or at least force them to pay more. No one did because no one wanted him at that price.
