Ichiro returning to Seattle

Ichiro isn’t an issue right now because he’s a fill in for Gamel, but don’t be surprised when we sacrifice a reliever when Gamel comes back just to keep Ichiro on the roster. Bobble heads have been made, camera shots of the Ichi-meter have been scripted, and his in game attendance has been scheduled for “celebrate 2001 night” this summer.

See, this where I disagree. Jerry has built the organization for starters to go 4 innings. Personally I'd have no issue when Gamel comes back Ichiro stays on the club and Heredia gets optioned to Tacoma. He is still raw and needs to play everyday. Heredia is like Adam Jones, not a dude who is needs to be on the bench 4 days a week.

Would rather have him than Ichiro. When he flops, it will be an easy cut. When Ichiro fails, it could be epic. They once again set themselves up for failure like the second year back for Griffey. They just don't know when to stop!!!!!!

Yea I only heard a clip of it but was gonna check out the podcast when posted. I guess I understand if they didn't want to DFA him on the road. Just kind of why I preferred to avoid the situation in the first place. Regardless it would be nice to see it end better then the way it did with Griffey
