I was going to say, not unless you want to give up more than just him for Semin alone...

It wouldn't be for Semin, we'd take some salary back for this year I'm sure. Homer would prob be more interested in Schultz & whatever prospect you have who you don't value or 2nd/3rd round picks. It could be a summer deal. You guys should sell Semin while you can though.

Also with the way you caps fans talk about Semin, I wouldn't give up Shelley straight up for him. He definitely wouldn't fi in in Philly we went through the Zherdev experiment last year.

I first thought you meant in season, semin going to Philly would be the only way that gets done.

I'm not a huge Briere fan, but Schultz and a 2nd/3rd in 2013? I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'm not sure the actually price as I'm not 100% sure how good Schultz really is, but it seems he has not lived up to what caps fan hoped he would be and has possibly fallen out of favor. I just have a feeling with our logjam at center Briere may be asked to move his NTC and I see the Caps as a favorable destination. I see it being a draft day deal so the picks would have to be 2012. Homer would most likely actually want Schultz and a 1st or another prospect and a 2nd/3rd. It would fill both teams needs I think as we'd like a big 2nd/3rd pairing d-man and to build the farm and you guys need a 2nd line center.

I thought for a second that a Briere for Schultz, Knuble and 2012 2nd would work, but you Caps would be over about 278k still.Too bad cause Briere could possibly help you make the playoffs in that tight SE race.

If Parise hits the market on July 1st & the Islanders don't sign him Garth will get ripped to shreds by most Isles fans. They're still bitter because Milpuke passed on him for Robert Nilsson.

The idea of Parise being a UFA scares me but my gut says he remains a Devil only time will tell

Also, I heard rumblings about the Pens wanting in on Ott as well. No thanks.

#SNtrade talk. Going into the weekend the #Rangers remain firm that moving Del Zotto or McDonagh to #Bluejackets for Nash is not an option

If I'm the Jackets, I hold out for them. They have nothing to lose by not moving Nash. And his value is higher in the offseason when more teams are likely to get in. Wouldn't you think?

All indications are that Mikhail Grabkovski won't sign an extension with #leafs before Monday.

Think that means he'll be moved?

From bob mac

@TSNBobMcKenzie: VAN put Keith Ballard on LTIR, Creates $4.2M worth of cap space. May be setting up for deal. Maybe I Ott to look into that. #TradeCentre

lol Cam Cole: Ballard injury described as "upper salary." Out indefinitely

fuck - you know I get too wrapped up in this stuff when i start to get excited about this.
I hate Ott immensely, and yet i'm thinking
- well, he's tougher than Raymond. that's good
- the room is strong enough to tone down his shit. that could be OK. worked on Lapierre
- we are supposedly hated anyways, why the fuck not?
- 29 points, that's the same as Higgins in similar number of games. that's not too bad
- can play powerplay and kill penalties. that's useful
- top three on Dallas in Corsi index, he's an asset on the ice
- he was 5th in faceoff%. It's on NHL.com - look it up. (currently 8th)
- who the fuck does Laviolette think he is, anyways?
