From bob mac

@TSNBobMcKenzie: VAN put Keith Ballard on LTIR, Creates $4.2M worth of cap space. May be setting up for deal. Maybe I Ott to look into that. #TradeCentre

Rumor Ott for Raymond

lol Cam Cole: Ballard injury described as "upper salary." Out indefinitely

other reports are he's definitely suffering from a capcussion :)

I'f I'm the Rangers, I pull the trigger if its going to cost Del Zotto and a 1st. He's good, but so is Rick Nash.

Nash on the Rags and them losing just 1 dman scares me.

Dubinsky is in the deal as well. Apparently it's something like this:

Dubinsky, Kreider, Del Zotto/settle for Haglein and 1st rounder.

WHEW.

Bob McKenzie ‏ @TSNBobMcKenzie
VAN freeing up cap space akin to OPEN FOR BIZ sign going up. Ott? Brown, if available? ;-) Even Nash if they so choose? Many possibilities.

Come on Bob. You're just teasing them now.

today, the local saturday morning news had the sports anchorwoman saying "the canucks also have a very strong interest in Nash"

this notion of the canucks trading for nash has been poo - poo'ed the past couple weeks in local media because of the price tag and personally Im not a fan of such a move.

but its kinda curious since it was Kristin Reid who said it today, she used to work for the canucks and has cryptically called things outta nowhere on twitter in the past year

John Jaeckel ‏ @jaeckel
Hearing Brassard might in fact be going to VAN, not for Schneider

well, of COURSE not for Schneider, that would be fucking retarded.
however, anyone know who John Jaekel is?

Brassard might be tougher to reel into line than Ott.

nevermind - apparently that was sourced through eckfuck.
makes sense why it's stupid now though.

OK, back to Ott..... :drink:
(and a RH defenseman somewhere along the line)

Gagliardi added there's nothing stopping the Stars and Canucks from doing business — even though Francesco Aquilini and Gagliardi were in a tug-of-war for Vancouver ownership — and that Stars general manager Joe Nieuwendyk and his counterpart Mike Gillis converse. So, no bad blood to kill a deal?

"Not at all," stressed Gagliardi. "That's old news and in the past and a non-event. I know Joe talks to Mike regularly."

Getting giddy everyone?! I don't expect much from my team tomorrow...but you never know. Honestly Shero's never gone through a deadline without a decently significant addition. 07-Laraque, Roberts 08-Hossa, Dupuis, Gill 09-Kunitz, Guerin, Adams (waiver wire) 10-Leopold, Poni *vomit* 11-Neal, Kovalev

So, something will probably happen...but who knows.

EDIT: 2010 was the only *bad* year in that. And really we gave up draft picks and Luca Caputi/Martin Skoula.

I wish i could be excited, but I think the Flyers are done, minus somehow trading Carle for an NHL Dman,

You have to think that when it comes down to the wire some GMs will lower the price. Sure the price is that now, but in about 12 hours it'll be more like a 2nd rounder. Just not worth it for some of these teams to hold onto these pieces.

BARF is giddy about getting his dozen donuts tomorrw. He really hasn't made that many trades since he's been a GM. I'm not expecting much. I really wouldn't be surprised if Parenteau was playing for the Islanders on Tuesday. He'll let him walk on July 1st for nothing.:L
