So the reason that happened (Orr and Lidstrom) is because of what I didn’t share - this hockey draft was part of a much larger 5 sport draft (also basketball, baseball, football, and soccer) where all 5 sports were drafted simultaneously. So GMs tended to focus more on certain sports, leaving a lot of value in the sports they were not focused on for other GMs to capitalize on. If you’d like, I can show you the entire draft to show you what I mean. We do it once per year - it’s called the Mega Draft and it’s a ton of fun. In a normal one sport hockey draft, zero chance Orr and Lidstrom get paired
