If Houston, for some reason passed on Bridgewater at #1, would you be willing to trade AJ Green straight up for the # 2 pick to get him.**

**Before I get accused of wanting to get rid of AJ (which I don't), this question was posed to me by a friend of mine who's a Rams fan after a few (too many) beers last night, and I thought I'd share it with the class**

We all know it wouldn't happen in a million years anyway.

I would have to watch some Bridgewater games to be sure, but my instinct tells me Hell no.

I dont really watch college football, so I don't know much about him, all I know is that he is the hot quarterback in this year's draft, and we all know that we need an upgrade at qb.

I'm not sure you trade one problem for another. No quarterback turns into no primary receiver.

Draft Mettenberger

You're right. But if you look at the 4 teams remaining, none of them have a "stud" receiver.

I still think I'd keep AJ.
I think my friend was trying to swindle me, lol.

*by stud I mean top 5/10 receiver.

Something to keep in mind...

Dalton and Green are going to cost $30 million per year combined once their rookie deals run out.

So you can use the #2 overall pick on Bridgewater and then use the remaining money on two probowl receivers in FA.

Not saying that's the right call, but definitely something to keep in mind as a factor in the decision

we shouldn't be resigning Dalton to anything close to that.

I wouldn't do it. You don't move a proven guy who is the 2nd best at his position in the league for someone unproven.

I would consider drafting Mettenburger or even Tahj Boyd in the 3rd or 4th

Where do you get the probowl receivers? I'm assuming that there aren't going to be many available in FA and drafting receivers has always been hit-or-miss.

I agree it isn't that simple. For whatever reason (sarcasm), big time FA don't want to sign in Cincy.

There are some decent WRs this year who will be FAs. We'll see who gets franchised though.

good Andy Dalton's nick name is "Cayenne peppa".

I think I am gonna start calling him the "Waco Kid". Ain't nobody else that can blow up our season quicker than Andy Dalton. And seeing how he is from Texas, only appropriate he have that nickname.
