How many carries did the UW RB's have vs Browning and then look at pass attempts. The numbers don't lie.

It's kind of a Chris Petersen thing to do to use the pass to set up the run. I disagree with that fundamentally and would like seeing more of the opposite, especially with a defense as exceptional as ours. I'm no coach, but I've always believed that if you have a strong defense, your emphasis should be on the running game. If you have a weak defense, the passing game so that you can catch up when you need to. Right now I believe that the Huskies' biggest strength is the defense and should therefore emphasis a power run game. But that's just a fundamental belief of mine.
In terms of blame I think you can equally distribute it between the offensive line, Browning, the WRs lack of separation and the play-calling. Either way, I don't think you can deny that it was the most disappointing offensive performance of the Petersen era.
In other words, I agree with your criticism of Smith, but don't think it's entirely on him. Prior to Tedford I could not fucking stand the plays he called. I'm wondering if Tedford was the reason for the improvement.
