Not old enough to remember Lyell Bremser, but my childhood was filled with pushing my dad's big speaker from the family room stereo to the screen door out back so I could listen to Kent Pavelka while I played football or did my chores outside almost every Saturday in the fall.

As for Omaha, I've lived here most of my life save for a stint out in Wyoming. I'm not a huge fan of the place, but only because I long to be back in the mountains some day. I complain about the traffic here, but then I go to Chicago or Denver or basically anywhere bigger than Omaha and I shut my mouth. Omaha doesn't have traffic.

At the very least, I'd rather have the traffic in Omaha than have to drive around in stinkin' Lincoln. That is THEEE worst city to drive in in this entire state. It takes an hour to get anywhere in that place.

And another thing. I have never had good service at any restaurant anywhere in Lincoln. EVER. I have come to the conclusion that it's either college kids waiting on you, and they just don't give a shit how good their service is because, well, they just don't give a shit. OR nobody in Lincoln knows how to provide good service in Lincoln. Period.

I fucking hate Lincoln. It's good for 3 things. Tailgating, Sker games, and getting shitty ass service at restaurants from spoiled fucking college kids who don't give a shit.

Omaha has FAR superior food. I don't mind Omaha

Lincoln food scene is 1 garbage chain after another. It does have thee best sandwich in the world though, at M&N

Didn't live in Omaha but went to college in York. My brother, who suffered strokes from a brain injury, stayed at Quality of Life for a while as well. I driven through it and got good experience in it. I am not a fan at all of Omaha. Lincoln is way better, although it is full of speed traps. Omaha is hard to get around in and I have heard a lot of horrible stories from there.
