How many of you folks live in Omaha?

Didn't live in Omaha but went to college in York. My brother, who suffered strokes from a brain injury, stayed at Quality of Life for a while as well. I driven through it and got good experience in it. I am not a fan at all of Omaha. Lincoln is way better, although it is full of speed traps. Omaha is hard to get around in and I have heard a lot of horrible stories from there.

You realize that Omaha is set up on a grid basically right? Numbered streets run North and South. Named streets run East and West. Wow. So Difficult.

If I had a choice I would totally live in Lincoln. I love that place.

But Omaha hasn't been so bad. Just a bigger population which means there are more douche bags to deal with.

omaha's hard to get around in? wtf? easiest place to get around in, all the roads are straight, when you are heading north, you keep going north, unlike in Lincoln, stupid roads like capital parkway, cotner, sheridan, highway 2 and 6, shit, you can't hardly get on one street and keep going the same direction. fucking van dorn, hate that street.

I'll be driving here in Omaha and my wife we'll see some complete idiot weaving around behind us and I'm always like, "it's an Iowa driver, how much you wanna bet?"

Then sure enough as they fly by me doing 20 over the speed limit and one wheel over the center line, there's that blue and white fucking license plate......usually all bent up from hitting so many curbs and trees and fire hydrants and what have you.

We have loops and highways that just stop.

Our highways have free lanes and toll lanes

Some roads you have to have a toll tag on your car

Some roads just change names

Don't forget the county names on those Ioway plates where 3 people actually live in that county, my experience is their doing 30mph on the interstate.

Iowegians are the worst drivers. They drive 10 miles under the speed limit with their turn signal on for miles.
