So the other day at work the discussion came up about how many Husker Football games my coworkers have missed in "real time" during their life time.

This means seeing it on tv, in person, or listening on the radio as it's happening. Watching a recording doesn't count.

I shit you not, I'm 31 years old and the first game I have any memory of at all was Colorado in 1988 when I was 3. I don't recall every game when I was that age, but I have never missed a single game in my life in real time since I was old enough to know what was going on. I was probably 5 years old before I started really understanding it.

Folks at work think there is something wrong with me. Maybe there is.

In 2010 we were playing Western Kentucky on PPV.

I spend the $35 to watch the game and then when game time rolls around there is no game. I FREAKED OUT.

Cranked the radio quick and got on the phone and ripped some DirecTv ass. Meanwhile Taylor Martinez rips off like a 55 yard TD run and I'm going absolutely crazy.

That was probably the closest I've come to missing any game time. Didn't really miss it, but wasn't able to focus on it cuz I was talking to that rip on the phone.

I missed the first quarter and a half of Northwestern this year. Sitting in O'Hare and couldn't get BTN2Go or whatever it was on to work on my phone so I had to get on the plane and get off the ground to get directv.
Ohio State in 2011 was in Memphis and got pissed off because I was tired of the blowouts and quit watching at halftime. Went down to Beale St to get drunk. That was a mistake.
Sure there were plenty of others don't remember right now.

I missed a ton in my high school days but still kept track. I used to read Husker Extra every day in study hall. Too busy out getting baked drinking and getting pussy on the weekends. Just wasn't a priority.

You poor sinful human-being.

You must find a way to do all of those things and still watch the Huskers.

2011 Penn st and Michigan. Flying from Chicago to Cancun for Penn st and 1 Week later flew back up during the Michigan game. I didn't book the flights, my fake ass fucking jaysker father in law did. I did enjoy the free trip to Cancun though, so I let him live.

lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots.

Since I moved out of state, I missed years of them.

When I lived in Nebraska but we went skiing in December January, missed many, many bowl games. 1970 and 1971 we were skiing at Breckenridge Colorado, had no idea who won the bowl games until we came back.

Radio and TV did not exactly work wondrously up in the mountains.
