I have also followed lebron since he was a rookie. At that time he was not anywhere near "the best player" Other players I follow intensely (look up news almost every night): Sebastian Telfair, Michael Redd, Jon Leuer, Tyrus Thomas, Reggie Williams.


Im also a lifelong bucks fan, with a rooting interest in those other players

To be honest, anyone who watches sports is sort of like a Lebron "fan" but only because we all know everything that happens with him because it is covered in detail by every sports channel/website on Earth.

I've been a LeBron fan since his rookie year. I doubt there are many people who watched more Cavs games than I did from 2003-2010. Same goes for Heat games from 2010-2014.

Its only been in the last few years that LeBron has been accepted as the best player in the leagues. I was just as passionate of a fan during the years when he missed the playoffs and in the years that ended in bitter disappointment.

If the Cavs miss the playoffs for the next 4 straight years... I will be just as passionate of a LeBron fan as I am now. I doubt the same could be said of the vast majority of Cavs fans who you find to be much more respectable than me.


I am showing my allegiance to a player just as much as any fan who shows his/her allegiance to a team.

The true bandwagon fans are the one's who have no allegiance and change teams based purely on the success of that team, IMO.
