Disagree, Wentz has put up better numbers running Doug’s Offense, and I think it’s also unfair to discredit the work Carson put in for that team that Won the SB. Let’s remember. There wasn’t a single person that thought the Eagles were going to win the SB after Carson went down.

Doug scaled down the book for Nick due to Nick’s inconsistencies and limits and it worked in a couple of key games but it also failed as well. Certainly Nick’s has had some bad coaching, but he’s also still shown to be inconsistent even in Doug’s offense.

I’m not ignoring that he’s hurt, hence why I’m not giving him a big contract but you can’t just cast him aside out of fear of injury when he’s played as well as he had when he is healthy and as well as he has when he’s banged up.

I recognize it’s a gamble, and every fan wants it to work out. But I have seen enough the last few years to believe Carson is the better option.

If it doesn’t work out, oh well.

What about Dak’s numbers shown above? According to your logic... Dak is better than Wentz. Would you agree with that?

Also, Pederson didn’t “shorten the playbook”... Wentz needlessly expanded it bc he didn’t like doing “Foles stuff”.

I think the Eagles have a major problem on their hands with this guy. At least we both agree this is the put up or shut up year.

I'd say that's fair. We can bust chops all we want, but the simple fact is if I was an Eagles fan and they chose to keep Foles and drop Wentz I would be beyond pissed.



I mean who would play the first 3/4s of the season to keep Foles fresh if they cut Wentz

I will agree that having wentz as the current QB isn’t a big problem bc of the money. However, that is quickly coming to an end and I will say that many in this thread have guaranteed that wentz will get the huge mega contract you keep saying may not happen

Agreed which is why I also brought up other reasons than just the numbers for why I want him over Nick.

And while I don’t guarantee anything I think he’s gonna get the major contract because I think he’s due for a bounce back year, which considering he was better than people think, isn’t going to be that much of a reach. But he’s not gonna get it before this season starts and not before he’s earned it.

@Tapey said it best a long time ago... when it comes to evaluating Wentz there’s a lot of squinting, viewing stuff differently, a lot of excuses and a lot of “almosts”.

Ok... he’s going into year 4 and has yet to PLAY in a playoff game let alone win one. It’s getting harder and harder to label him a “franchise QB” with that fact.

Because injuries happen in this league. Rodgers is injury prone for example and I’m sure no one in GB (at least till now) wanted to ship him off.

I’m not exactly keen on giving up a QB of Wentz talent because he had compacted injury issues last year.

Why do I need to read it. I'm asking if Wentz was injured without being on the injury report.

Ford showed you the game reports you than said your sources are more trustworthy. I say the reports are a lot more accurate than what your throwing against the wall.

If you sources are so accurate tell us if Wentz was injured while not being listed the game day reports.
