How long does Philly stick with Wentz before going back to Foles?

Because his body of work doesn't show him to be fantastic. His numbers and his performance on the field are on par with an average QB.

I really though he was gonna sit out the first four and I still think that was the plan. B)Physical tool’s, Carson has the better arm, accuracy, anticipation, mobility (though certainly hope to see a more conservative ginger this year in that regard) and allows for a more wide open playbook. Nick is much more predictable.

C)Consistency, like I said, Nick is streaky and has high ceilings and low floors. However his ceiling is lower than Carson’s as is his Floor. Carson is more reliable in his play (granted, not so much his health right now)

Now, I’m not saying give Wentz the big money contract right now, but I prefer going with him and seeing what his full potential is, than sticking with Nick where I’m wondering Week to week whether we get Good Nick or Bad Nick.

I think pinning your hopes on wentz is a bigger gamble than you probably realize. I think you WANT wentz to work out more than you BELIEVE he will work out.

Ok... he’s going into year 4 and has yet to PLAY in a playoff game let alone win one. It’s getting harder and harder to label him a “franchise QB” with that fact.

Disagree, Wentz has put up better numbers running Doug’s Offense, and I think it’s also unfair to discredit the work Carson put in for that team that Won the SB. Let’s remember. There wasn’t a single person that thought the Eagles were going to win the SB after Carson went down.

Doug scaled down the book for Nick due to Nick’s inconsistencies and limits and it worked in a couple of key games but it also failed as well. Certainly Nick’s has had some bad coaching, but he’s also still shown to be inconsistent even in Doug’s offense.

I’m not ignoring that he’s hurt, hence why I’m not giving him a big contract but you can’t just cast him aside out of fear of injury when he’s played as well as he had when he is healthy and as well as he has when he’s banged up.

I recognize it’s a gamble, and every fan wants it to work out. But I have seen enough the last few years to believe Carson is the better option.

If it doesn’t work out, oh well.

I don’t think that’s unfair, hence holding out on giving him a deal. But I feel more confident that he does deliver a bounce back season than say Jamies Winston or Marcus Mariota who are in similar prove it type situations.

I think Wentz clearly has the better skill set and more potential but two things about "A" above. I'm not so sure Wentz's 2017 was better than Foles 2013 season. In addition, I'm not even sure that history will see Wentz's 2017 as being better than Foles 2017...he did bring home the gold
