1. Dak Prescott will be paid $31 million under the franchise tag
2. It creates a QB controversy with a decent caliber Dalton
3. Harder to sign Prescott to a new contract
4. Dalton isn't a transformative QB who can put the team on his back
5. Paying Dalton $7 million puts him almost as the top-paid backup
6. Committing $38 million to one position makes it difficult to fill needs elsewhere
7. Dallas just got done with one useless, soulless redhead, now signs another
