Carroll's defense seems to be struggling around the league this year.
I think the issue with his type of defense is that it's too dependent on talent to really work and if you lack elite talent at key spots it's not going to work all that well.
Obviously every great defense has great talent but I think some defenses are better at masking their weaknesses than others.
