How dumb is it to say that Manning choked?

Jesus Christ Bronco fans, Manning SUCKED tonight. Not only did he suck tonight, he sucked AGAIN just like in the past.

43 to fucking 8!!!

What is it with you guys?!

I certainly don't claim to speak for all Broncos fans, but my point is quite straight forward: the Broncos lost because the Seahawks kicked their ass, not because Manning choked. The pick six, here Avril hit Manning's arm, is a perfect example of that, though you cite it as evidence that Manning choked on that play. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

He shouldn't have thrown that ball. It was obvious he had no shot of a clean release.

LOL If you say so, though I suspect that Manning has a lot more experience in that situation than you do. So easy to second guess while watching on TV.

I don't understand why a Bronco fan would come on here to try and defend a player that will go into the HOF as a Colt on a night where they embarrassed themselves and the entire fanbase in front of a TV audience measured in the hundreds of millions.

Really doesn't have anything to do with being a Broncos fan as it does to simply read how people can mistakenly conclude that the Broncos got their asses kicked because Manning choked. Comical really.

Seems to me he throws a huge INT in just about every season ending game. SB against the Saints, last year in OT against the Ravens, this year in the SB - you've gotta put some blame on him.

It is inevitable. You have a mix of those who don't like Manning anyway who are always going to blame him for every loss and give someone else credit when they win, and those that hate Seattle and can't ever give them credit.

This was the best defense in the country and it wasn't even close. They were the first team in 30 years to be number one in points, yards, and turnovers and yet they give no credit. They totally dominated the best offense in league history and of course still won't simply say they earned it.

Manning set a record for most completions in the game. How on earth can it be his fault? :noidea:

One INT was his fault. He sailed it high and Kam was in position to make the play. The other was a tipped ball. That one is on the line.

He also completed 34 passes despite the pressure that was put on him all game long.

Yeah, he always finds away to make his stats look respectable, but at 29-0 the Seahawks changed their scheme a bit.

It's just somehow fitting that the QB with the most playoff losses in history is leading the team with the most Super Bowl losses in history.

This game was more about the Seahawks just being the better team...by a lot. However Peyton really didn't play well either, probably his play was beside the point, because the Broncos were just out matched.

43 - 8. He choked like he usually does in games that count.

Right, because Seattle just stood around and waited for him to miss targets all day. :L

Jesus, we were told we didn't deserve any respect until we won something and now that we did, we are told it wasn't deserved because the other team choked. I love the interwebs. :laugh3:

Oh I have no doubt that most of those haters will be too embarrassed to even come back here until next season.

But he did. Peyton shredded the league all year. Had his will with every defense he played. Came back from deep deficits, controlled the line of scrimmage, got in defenses heads, and on and on and on.

Peyton is captain comeback.

Hard to argue that he didn't. If he didn't choke then he didn't show up tonight.

you seem to have quite a preponderance for exaggeration....and a severe lack of critical thinking ability.

 :noidea:

There are normally over 100m viewers of the game in our country alone.

Super Bowl TV Ratings - Ratings | TVbytheNumbers

There is no hard figures on international viewership. His 'hundreds of millions' isn't that far off then is it?
with right around 100 million local, nothing would convince me that there are multiple hundreds of millions international watching a game none of them even understand. I would be surprised if there were 150 million total.

I wouldn't say Manning choked, but I would say he got ran over by a 20 tone diesel truck. The Seahawks, just simply put everything together at the right time and played the game to perfection.

Manning had a bad throw... but the snap over the head and getting hit as he threw really aren't his issue. And he passes so quickly usually that getting pressured means the line is getting tore up.

He played ok... their defense and special teams sucks balls.
