Tim Kurji (sp.?) on ESPN was talking about the Rangers and their pen. He said the ERA for the month is 1.99 which is a whole run better than the next team. He said we are a freight train and he wouldn't want any part of TX in the playoffs.

Houston has too many young players. They'll be a legit West contended for a while, but their youth and unsustainable reliance on HR's is catching up to them.

You are probably right but baseball is such a mental sport because of all the 1-on-1 match ups.

I know he will turn it around as well. We need him to be at the top of his game at this time of the year so I hope it is now.

Big win for Texas. Just needed one win in Htown to keep some distance. Now lets take 2 out 3 and basically put the division to bed.

Win or lose on Saturday just hope we see a much better Derek Holland. If Texas wins the division and has any hope of a deep playoff run Holland is going to be a huge x-factor. The good version of Holland plus playoff vets Hamels and Lewis could mean a nice Oct run for the Rangers.

With off days for travel Texas just needs 5 innings from every starter. The pen can handle that load.
