What is Tepesch's problem? And now LB... Man, the injuries just keep coming...

Very concerned about Scheppers and Ross as well....maybe they just need a little rest...lets hope...

Berkman is a muscle between is hip and back, probably when he was busting it down the line on that fielder's choice

This certainly opens up DH to be a rotating spot now, which what I thought it should have been to begin with, have a DH only type person just creates a lack of maneuverability in the lineup

Maybe we should move Tepesch into a long relievers role since he does so well the first time through the lineup and put Lindblom as a starter. And send Grimm to AAA and move Wolf into his spot and of course have Soria take Grimm's spot in the rotation. I know Ogando would get Wolf's spot eventually even though I like him in the bullpen better. I saw where Ogando gave up 2 homers in 2 innings last night at RR.

It was Ogando's 1st rehab start, I'd hold off on judgement until he at least gets another one in

LB going on the DL actually cleans things up a bit and takes away Wash inclination to have him in the lineup. Provides the space to use Profar, Kinsler, Andrus and A.Beltre as DH with Profar playing the utility role.

TEX may not actually replace him with a position player and may use his and Tepesch' 25man roster spots to make room for Soria and Burns. Wonder whose 40man spot will be used for Soria?

Alexi Ogando looked like someone who hadn't thrown in a real game in a month. In two innings and 41 pitches, Ogando allowed three runs on two homers, two other hits and a walk. Ogando's fastball topped at 94, and the other pitches were at standard velocity. His changeup worked best, while the slider often lacked bite. -- from Scott Lucas report

That makes sense.

Only position players on the 40man not already active are Leury Garcia, Chris McGinnis, Mike Olt and Joe Benson (on 7day DL). TEX could afford to go with a short bench and an extra pitcher right now. Am betting Wolf takes Tepesch next start with Lindblom moving to the long role.

The addition of Burns and Soria more than make up for what TEX would get from Wolf and Lindblom while they are getting in phase for their new roles and will be very well received by Sheppers, Ross and Cotts.

Found a 12 June transaction TEX moved Kirkman to the 60day DL. That provides Soria room to move back to the 40man.

I think Ogando will be fine pitching-wise. Not always sure about his health. I just have always liked him in the BP regardless of that rehab start.
