Yep, Playstation Productions...

I agree it looks somewhat disappointingly underwhelming. But I'm hoping it will surprise us

I mean honestly all I can think of when I saw the trailer is Cabin in the Woods 2. Now the one plus I'll give this, is it appears... to SHOW US ALL THE FUCKING DIFFERENT STUFF THAT CAN KILL YOU!!! God that annoyed me so much with Cabin in the Woods... we got some dumbass zombies (AGAIN). I know they unleashed it all at the end (with the Merman lol moment), but wtf? You chose ZOMBIES as your main antagonist? Seriously F off film...

This basically seems like Cabin in the Woods 2... but we're just going to give you a bunch of monsters (including what's in Until Dawn game) to kill you.

It better go hard R, and better not hold back. I'm just fairly annoyed they used Until Dawn and are CLEARLY trying to use that name for fans of the video game and lore to get people in the seats. It just makes you doubt how good the movie and idea really is. That's a LOT to shove in a movie with multiple monsters/ways to day with a 90 minute run time.. you'd have to do a Happy Death Day kind of thing, and that's going to be hard.. that was a comedy first and foremost (and a good movie).

You didn't like Cabin in the Woods?

As long as it doesn't take itself seriously and just has fun with the plot then I'm game.

I did like it, cool premise. It just annoyed me we didn't get a more cool monster. Now that said, I also have to applaud that because the movie 100% did that intentionally, lol. Even the guy from Adventure's in Babysitting was annoyed, lol.

Yea I think I even said something along those lines in here long ago... That I wished it had given some of the monsters more screen time instead of going to full chaos mode.

But there will always be a need for those types of mindless horror movies. Sometimes I'm 3 sheets to the wind & just need something to laugh at.

Yah, although I laughed pretty hard when they finally show the mereman and it's the dumbest looking thing ever and the guy (audience) that wanted it was even like, "C'MON MAN!" lmao.

That's a movie I feel like they could've definitely did a show on with all of the different monsters they had there on the board.

Just watched 'Nosferatu' on Peacock.

Meh.

4/10 for me, but it looks like it was beautifully shot, had some imagery and symbolism that probably went over my head, so if that's your kind of thing it's probably a 7/10 or higher.

Just didn't do enough for me.

Yea it was a lot more artsy than I was expecting. Was hoping for more horror than art.

For artsy horror, I'm still drawn to Midsommar.
And there's so much I missed in that one.
Yea that was way better. Midsommar was weird AF but it was awesome.

Anyone watch 'The Gorge'? I did and I gotta give it a resounding 1.5/5 stars.

I like both actors. Taylor Joy and Teller are great actors. I was willing to pardon some of the things at the beginning (why are they the only people to try and communicate with each other, she speaks English just perfect, yet he doesn't know an ounce of Russian, why do they have all these supplies that you could basically build an aircraft out of, check in once a month? WHAT? What is actually going on would require a check in every 1 hour at max??). Whatever.

I was kind of willing to dismiss that BS and just go with it. But then the second half started and it was like a combo of The Mist, Kong Skull Island, and Annihilation and holy shit are we in rip off mode. I get not a lot of people watched the Mist (good horror flick) or Annihilation (Portman+Leigh, weird movie but not bad) so they just felt the need to rip everything off... But I've seen those films, and it's 100% right in your face. It was borderline insulting as a viewer, lol. Some of you will get this.

I was literally watching it saying aloud, "so it's the Mist from that Mist movie?" Sadly the 'monsters' weren't even convincing or looked good. It was lame as F... and Anya at 50 lbs soaking wet is wiping out enemies like it's nothing while infinite ammo and auto aim cheat codes are on... BLEH. LJASDLFJDLSFJL@!! FUCK THIS MOVIE!

It's too bad to see Anya and Miles take up sub par projects like this, but I think it'll be a trend. The huge Hollywood blockbusters are drowning. Smaller stuff is going to get more attention.

I was hoping for a good creature feature. There is 'creatures' but it's a CGI and quick camera movement mess and it doesn't work at all. 3/5 first half, 1/5 second half. And the second half weighs it down to the 1.5 I gave it originally at the top of this post. I was skipping through various parts at the end. Anyway my horror movie Hooplans, this is a hard skip IMO. The girlfriends will prob. love it because it has the whole romance theme... it's shot decently well. This is the kind of movie you turn on after a good dinner and you're drunk and need something to fall asleep to.
