See No Evil 2

Your run of the mill slasher film. Lots of gore and stupidity from victims lol. Good cinematography but the plot is very cut & dry. Worth the watch if your digging the bottom of the barrel.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown

Good movie. Had some interesting twists and turns in it that keep you guessing. Good plot that isn't just about the violence. The acting is solid. I would recommend this one!

Sanatorium

If you've ever seen any of these "ghost hunter" type movies then you know what you're getting yourself into with this one. Very predictable and no different than the hundreds that came before it. However I will say they did a better job than most. The special effects were good. It's worthy of a watch!

Was hoping that this movie was out, but discovered it hasn't been released yet... So I'll give a preview instead:

The Gracefield Incident

No release date yet. But should drop sometime in 2015.

Synopsis:
August 16, 2013, the Supreme Court mandated the CIA to declassify files that had been kept secret for the past 75 years. Visual records of documented paranormal events were released to the public. The following incident took place in Gracefield, Quebec.

Looks awesome. Looks like it will feature both 1st & regular style filming. That alone usually adds an intensity element to these types of movies. Looking forward to its release, whenever that may be.

It Follows (2015): Starts March 13th

Synopsis: For nineteen-year-old Jay, Autumn should be about school, boys and week-ends out at the lake. But after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, she finds herself plagued by strange visions and the inescapable sense that someone, something, is following her. Faced with this burden, Jay and her friends must find a way to escape the horrors that seem to be only a few steps behind.

Kind of mixed bag with this one. Just by reading the synopsis it sounds like a reach, but after watching the trailer I'm interested. I've been reading reviews from people in New Zealand that have watched it and it sounds like more of a realistic horror film. Which is usually what I like in my horror movies.
I want to see this movie! I haven't been scared in a long time. I watch so many horror movies that I've grown numb to suspense but I hear this one is pretty scary.

Scarecrow (2013)

Have to say this first... I enjoyed the Scarecrow look/CGI! At first I was thinking it was a little dumb, but after hearing the explanation in the plot of how it got that way it made it far better. This was an enjoyable movie, of course you shouldn't expect too much, just some innocent fun with some decent scares. The plot direction was subpar, so lower your expectations. Contains the standard horror moves, "let's split off", "let's do that", "I can't believe it is real", and so on. But overall, better than those tryhard movies that get lost in their own work. I approve of this one for a cheesy cliché horror night. Really not much to say about it, either you love it or you don't.

Looking forward to the Poltergeist remake and the Stephen Kings "It" remake.
I just heard yesterday about the Poltergeist remake.. I'll definitely be looking forward to both of those remakes! I hope they don't slaughter either cult classic.
