Interesting study for sure. Curious where these 50 viewers watched these movies? Because in the comfort of your own home these movies definitely take on different effects. Sinister has a lot of shock value implanted with well-crafted jumpscares, which sort of transcends the viewing setting sotospeak. Makes sense that it got the most rise out of people. The Shining being criminally low probably has more to do with the era it was released in. Take this study back into 1980 and I guarantee it knocks the pants off Sinister.
