“This is a team that right now with the way they’re playing, you’d want all of them to date your sister,” Amsinger said. “I need a couple bad boys to fight. I need a brawl. I need something. They’re just politely losing, and it’s kind of making me upset.”

Finally someone outside of us speaks up. We are too damn nice! I think I mentioned this a few weeks back. Damn it, Winker was our only guy with balls.

Maybe the players read this. Between Cal and Speier, something is getting to them.

My 85 year old Italian mom: 'Someone tell her to go home and take care of her kids. Who did she sleep with to get that job?". LOL! Only my mom.

A subject we spoke about earlier in the year was how the new rules would favor speed. We only have ne gy in the top 25 of SB's and that is Julio at #9 with 18 SB's. That is nice, but we need some of the lesser guys up there since they don't produce in as many other ways as he does. The kid from Oakland leads with 40. 2B and LF could be great additions for speed players. Move Kelenic to RF and Teoscar to DH.

Moore takes fastball for strike 3 right down the middle and Angie says "Tough pitch. That is a pitchers pitch." :frusty:

It is a different game.

Was it they lowered or raised the mound because of him? It’s always between him and Nolan as to who were the most feared pitchers. Wish I’d been alive to see the dude.

How in the heck did they go from 10th in 95, do a fire sale and end up with a higher payroll in 96? I truly don’t remember who they added just know they lost Tino and Jeff Nelson.
