Kobe MISSED the playoffs in his prime.

He should have really jumped from team to team and recruited another two superstars to avoid that, right?

Want to know the difference? When Kobe had a bad supporting cast, he didn't bail on his team and fans. He may have threatened to, but not one single Lakers fan ever burned his jersey - can you say the say about lebron?

Did The Cavs even win the East this year? The East is pretty sorry

So these "finals appearances" or what I like to call losses are funny when overlooked

I think it's a fair argument that when Kobe played it was much tougher to get out of the Western Conference and to the Finals than LeBron's time in the East. But with that said James all by himself carried teams not only to the playoffs but deep runs. This is something Kobe never really did, certainly to the level that James did.

Wait... hold on...

Your contention is that the East should win more championships because they are the weaker conference?

No, just that it is easier to do so and that is why they even were able to win 6. But now I know that logic is too hard for you to grasp.

Kobe has 2 Finals MVP's...LeBron has 3 Finals MVP's.

Kobe has 1 league MVP- and prob should have 2

LeBron has 4 league MVP's, and should prob have AT LEAST 6.

Steve Nash has 2 MVPs
Hakeem has one.

Wiggy logic: Nash was MUCH better than Hakeem

Kobe never played with TWO bonafide all-stars. You put a prime Kobe on a team with Irving and Love in a weak East and he too makes the finals year after year.

Someone tell Chauncey, Rip, Shaq, Wade, KG, Paul Pierce, & LeBron that they only won their titles because it wasnt fair because the Western conf winner was too worn out.

Kobe's all NBA defensive awards are 2:1 over Lebron. It's not even close.

there are plenty of reasonable people on here that - even if they dont like LeBron- can admit the fact that LeBron is without a doubt a consensus top 5 player of all time.

You can make reasoned arguments of where he is in the top 5 of all time- all the way up to #2 of all time (and - seeing how he is only 32- #1 isnt off the board).

but if you hear someone say LeBron is not ahead of Kobe- or is not top 5- you can pretty much disqualify that opinion as hating.....for the most part.

If I said Magic wasnt top 5- and was barely top 10 - i would expect to be told I was a Lakers hater- and the person accusing would be correct. At this point- tis the same with LeBron.

He is passed Kobe and Bird and SHaq and TD etc. etc....and- the only guys that have a REASONABLE Argument that can be backed up with any kind of logic to be in front of him are Kareem, Magic, Jordan.
