I'm happy any year we have two wins over top 20 teams, two more over top 10 teams, won the conference, and made the conference.

Michigan split a title with nebraska in 97. USC has had more titles taken away in the past 20 years than Michigan has won. SC also split a title with LSU

If you don't want to count back that far, then Michigan hasn't accomplished much of anything. Hell, even Colorado has as many national championships in recent years as Michigan.
