hahaha! just checked the standings

looked today for the first time in awhile...18 1/2 games back and in 4th place with miami only 8 back of us. jvett and that phillieschamps both thought we had a good shot because: 1- we had a favorable 2nd half schedule, 2- the braves were a .500 team after their 12-1 start & 3- the phillies were a great 2nd half team. lolol!

Nope, you could see they were heading south when D-bomb got hurt right around the All-star break.

I like how people that defended the "great contract" that they gave Utley was that the Phillies would suck more without him.

This team is below .500 WITH him. It's not his fault, but it sure as hell isn't worth keeping him around.

Right on again Caligula and I was a party to the latter and not the former! He should of disappeared with several other players and John Kruk stated as much on the broadcast last Sunday. It'll be interesting to see what Kruk has to say during tonight's ESPN telecast.
