Just saw the hit for the first time and they showed a lot of angles and slow motion and IMHO it looks clean. Shoulder to the chest it wasn't interference he didn't leave his feet and the blood came from the contact with the ice.
Actually it was very similar to the Campbell on Umberger hit a few years ago but I honestly do not see anything wrong with it.
