No but I did expect them to stretch him out a little. 23 pitches is not stretching

Guess the scouting report may have said he would try and get ahead and they thought they might jump on some first pitches but several of them have just missed on first pitch swings.

Like I mentioned this kid has some decent stuff. The 10 ERA was in a very SSS only 5 innings pitched at the MLB level but it's not like he's a HS kid out there starting
