So you can make a trade in June. I hate to see Ragans go, but he really wasn't wanted here any longer by those in charge. The Royals made a great trade.

They basically traded a reliever and a pot sweetener to get a much better reliever...

Since this is going to be a BP game and Smith bats better against RHP than LHP why not give him a start, this may be showcasing him for a potential trade later down the road...

Winning against the astros takes priority over showcasing imo. Pick a better situiation to play Smith.

Earlier when I posted Wilson's trade proposals I didn't even look over them too carefully. Now that I have, I wouldn't do any of them.

Right now Duran's OPS is only 24 points lower than Soto's. Duran can still be expected to improve, maybe even significantly.

I think picking up Brad Hand would be alright. He pitches in Colorado which can have some affect on a person's ERA.

I would just rather go after a better reliever. In that one, it isn't what we are giving up as much as I want a higher quality guy, even if he is a lot more costly.

One can argue too much for Cease and too much for Soto but I would do the Soto trade long before the Cease deal
