Gophers march to the 2019 Tourney

As I saw it after yesterday, they would be a 12th seed.

Yeah, those 4 straight, hurt... the loss to Michigan on last second shot. The loss to Maryland at home. The loss to Indiana earlier... and that Nebraska game .... flip any 2 of those, and are we even having this conversation?

Can't forget that last year was out of his control.... that was a really good team, derailed by injuries. I think we all expected too much before this season began. Not on the hot seat as of yet.... but next year, he should be.

And the Gophers historically haven't made the tourney all that much (very few back-to-back visits)... even if you include the Haskins years.

Overall I agree, but with recruiting going very poorly this year, I'm a little concerned.

I can see it.... but I can't. They were talking about yesterday (KFAN), that it's not like some coach is going to materialize and take the job here, so it would be basically starting all over again. I say let him ride out next year under the hot seat.

The problem with that is recruits aren't going to commit to a guy on hot seat. I think we're already seeing signs of that. One commit out of 4 open spots, and I wouldn't be surprised if Washington transfers, leaving us 4 open scholarships

True. I get all that... again - the hot seat is a media fabricated situation. Not sure what his contrct situation is, either. Coyle (for what it's worth) still really seems to like Pitino, too. I guess we'll see.

I believe he has 2 years left.

I'm of the belief this off-season you either extend him 2 years or fire him
