Over on espn.com, they have articles from both the Seahawks and Jets points-of-view on this deal and despite the Jets not giving up much to get him, most of the fans that commented on their article weren't exactly enthusiastic about it. I think most of them would have liked it a lot more if it had happened a few weeks ago when the Jets still had a decent shot at making the playoffs or before the season in the form of DeSean Jackson. Some of them just see the writing on the wall based on how it ended for Harvin in Minnesota and here.

I'll tell ya what, the Seahawks can all get jobs with National Security when they are done playing because they sure are good at keeping secrets. I never heard any of the stuff about Harvin that's been released in the past 10 hours. Black eye to Tate, sitting out practices, wanting to fight Russell, etc....all news to me.

Sounds like they were so good at keeping secrets that Harvin didn't even know he was gone until after practice yesterday.

Now let's sign Suh.

I NEVER liked the Harvin signing. Yah the TD return was great in the Super Bowl but give me a break. $60M for this douche when we could pay $60M over 4-5 years to have someone like Suh take our defense to ALL TIME BEST?!

Yes, get rid of Harvin. Hopefully he dominates in New York and we get an early 2nd with how crap they are playing.

Definitely top 10 moment of being a Hawks fan, we ditch Harvin. Man I raved on this guy all year. I thought he'd carry our team, thought he'd be huge, but he's a bust, pure and simple. So glad Hawks offloaded that STUPID contract, we can actually go get players that matter now.

Jets still being the Jets.

I recall you were one of the few that never liked it,hey Shark hats off i guess.

The NY Jets, where cancer WR's go to die. See Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards, and now Percy. I give him two years max before he makes his way out of the league. What a waste of talent. The Hawks should place a waiver claim on David Nelson, we could use a big WR.

Extremely odd that he practiced like normal yesterday and then was gone an hour later. Although Harvin seems to be a handful I get the feeling he is not the only issue in the locker room. How they play tomorrow will be really telling.

Pretty sure it wont be long before he blows up NY. They suck worse than the Vikings when he left there.

and that media is going to tear him apart if he starts fucking up

So in the end, we end up with a conditional 6th round pick that may become as high as a 4th rounder in 2015. He gave us one of the most memorable plays in Seahawks history, but was it worth it? I say not, but at least we may have just salvaged our season. Lets get back to the Beast!

I heard a potential 2nd rounder...

I don't care what they got. If the stories are true of him starting fights and being a locker room cancer are true, then I don't care what they got. Locker room chemistry is everything in sports regardless of talent.

Yeah, from what's coming out it looks like what one of the frustrations with the guys on offense was Harvin being a total dickhead. Weird thing is that Lynch seemed bummed out about the move. They seem to be cut from the same mold but Lynch is smart enough to keep his mouth shut and just get paid.

The Seattle Seahawks have traded wide receiver Percy Harvin to the New York Jets.

Seattle will receive a conditional draft pick in 2015, which will range from a second- to fourth-round selection, a source told ESPN's John Clayton.

That's what I'm hearing... Potential second ...

Clayton is now reporting that it is a 6th that could turn into a 4th

Definitely lost a lot of value for Harvin between the two trades. They pulled the plug and admitted their mistake. NYJ acquiring him for condition 6th round pick makes it look better for them than when the trade was initially reported.

Doesnt really matter what they got. More about addition by subtraction and finding a way to get out from some of the contract. He was probably 1 more injury or distraction away from being untradable and cut anyway.

Hmmm... Interesting that they would get the info wrong then ... I was under the assumption the conditional pick was based on performance ...
