Now let's sign Suh.

I NEVER liked the Harvin signing. Yah the TD return was great in the Super Bowl but give me a break. $60M for this douche when we could pay $60M over 4-5 years to have someone like Suh take our defense to ALL TIME BEST?!

Yes, get rid of Harvin. Hopefully he dominates in New York and we get an early 2nd with how crap they are playing.

Definitely top 10 moment of being a Hawks fan, we ditch Harvin. Man I raved on this guy all year. I thought he'd carry our team, thought he'd be huge, but he's a bust, pure and simple. So glad Hawks offloaded that STUPID contract, we can actually go get players that matter now.

Jets still being the Jets.

I hope we're offering up some draft picks for an OL or DL stud. We've got the cap room right now!!! Someone on the last year of their contract would be great.

I guess we could always use another Harvin thread. As for signing Suh, your off your rocker.

Is anyone RELIEVED by this trade? I'm not gonna lie, I tried to boost Harvin's stock up, I tried to like the trade, and so many fans/rivals were right, Harvin is a one trick pony.

If Harvin had come to Seattle for $6M a year fine. But when I heard he got a 6 year $60M contract, I was MAJORLY disappointed.

I'm so glad some team (THANK YOU NEW YORK) took on this fools contract. Goodbye...

K... Since Mebane and 'whoever' are so great and just dominating O-Lines.

Getting rid of that STUPID $11M+ a year contract, Seattle can actually afford a guy like Suh if they make some adjustments.

Yeah, let's sign Suh and let Wagner walk. Suh's gonna get huge money and hopefully not from this team. We need quality offensive linemen more than anything on this team. Paying out the ass for Suh does not help the weakest part of this team.

I know right? Let's pay a arm and both legs for a DT.

I certainly didn't expect this.

But it is probably a good move. We have a lot of key players to sign and he wasn't not worth 10 million a year.

In retrospect I guess we could see something like this given how many plays he wasn't involved in.

Whatever the reason, this trade was likely made for very good reasons most of which we are unaware at this time.

Remember, GM Shneider and Coach Carroll made hundreds of trades/moves to get the Seahawks where they are today.

It will take big bucks to sign Suh in free agency. The Seahawks still have to give Wilson a new long term contract and that would make signing Suh difficult.

John Schneider is the brains behind all personnel moves and may have a few tricks up his sleeve.

Well it only cost the Seahawks a 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick and a 7th round pick and they'll get something back. I didn't think it was a good move when they made it but at the same time was glad to see Seattle waste the money on him. Overall great move clearing salary cap.

It was a risky move that didn't turn out but credit Schneider for get out from under the move with minimal cap implications

I liked the move to trade for Harvin when it was made because, on paper, it made a great team even better, and when Vikings fans were laughing their asses off and telling us how much we'd regret it, it came across as a your typical "We liked this guy when he was on our team, but now that he's with you, here are all the things that are wrong with him" response you see when good players go from one team to another. Turns out they weren't just doing a sour grapes routine after all. If all these reports are accurate, then getting rid of him despite the financial consequences was the right thing to do. Good luck to the Jets. It seems they're gonna need it. If he wasn't happy on a championship team, then moving to a team that is 1-6 is probably not going to do much for his attitude and behavior.

Also, a league source told the Times that Harvin didn't want to go back in at the end of the game Sunday against Dallas.
