Wait...you say "he's got the attitude that he's really good, even though he's really not." And then, in the very next sentence, you say, "he's a great player on the field..."

lol, terry, are you fucking serious with this shit?? Now do you see why people roll their eyes at your posts?

Typo. He's a great player OFF the field. Didn't know it was such a crime to make mistakes around here.

PE1 said that GOlden Tate trade to Eagles would yield more return than Amari Cooper trade to the Cowboys.

He also said that Cooper trade ASSURED the Raiders a top ten pick

Double Fail

It did, we're drafting #4.

How do you know that some other people didn't give him the nickname "showtime" and that he actually gave it to himself? I mean you might be right, but I'd like to know how you know that with such certainty.

I read it in a few articles about him somewhere that Tate gave himself that nickname. Could be totally wrong, for the record. But I've seen it multiple places.

He is still living off the glory of the famous "Fail Mary Pass".

That was Tate's alleged problem in Seattle too. He couldn't stay out of other people's beds. Most notably Russell Wilson's bed when Russell wasn't home.
False

“I did not have an affair with Russell Wilson’s wife, nor did I have anything to do with his divorce,” Wilson writes. “That is laughable for anyone who knows us. His ex-wife, Ashton, is still best friends with my girlfriend. Russell and I were good friends when I was in Seattle, on and off the field — he knows the rumors about me were unfounded, damaging to my reputation, and an attack on my character. Anyone who circulated that rumor was just plain irresponsible.”

I guess this is really a non-story.

Double Fail

One, I didn’t say it assures a top 10 pick. At the time of the trade it was at 10 and I think Jarntt proved it was actually 12.

Two, I was completely wrong. Tate didn’t find his role with Philly and Cooper was really good and totally worth the #1 they gave up.

That's the ego and attitude that Bell and Brown have right now. How's that turned out for us?
pretty good if you ask me!

Tate would be a good pickup for the Steelers. Be a decent though not complete replacement for Brown.

I think it means he plays with Wives and Girlfriends.

Great player off the field means he's good in the community of the cities he plays in. His Golden Future foundation does wonders Vets. You should look it up sometime.

Also, I don't think he's an excellent player. He is an okay player and that depends on who is throwing him the football. Yes, 2014 to 2017 was really good but that's because he had a QB (Matt Stafford) who just slings the ball around and puts up about 4,200 to 5,000 yards each season. When he was in Seattle, with a QB (Russell Wilson) who usually ran the ball instead of forcing the ball somewhere because he could only rely on his arm, he didn't put up those numbers. Wilson put up about 3,000-4,000 yards each season when Tate was playing there. While Ben can sling it like Stafford does, Tate would be a possible 3rd or 4th option because Ben also has JuJu, Washington, Conner, Switzer and McDonald. What we would have to pay Tate, or should I say what he would expect to be paid, doesn't equal good ROI in my opinion.

I'd love to have Tate in Pittsburgh

He reminds me a lot of Hines Ward, good blocker, reliable hands, very tough for his size... I hated seeing him leave Seattle...
