Man, look at Mason man. Closing out the 2023 season with the following stats:

- 3-0
- 55-74 (74.3%), 719 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, 118 QB Rating, 238.7 ypg
- Led the Steelers offense to score 30+ points on 12/23/23 for the first time since 11/20/22 (21 games).
- After losing 3 straight games to teams with a combined record of 17-32, he led the Steelers to 3 straight wins to close out the season against teams with a combined record of 29-20, including defeating the #1 ranked defense in the league.

THEE......Brett.....Mason....Rudolph showed that he belongs in the QB1 discussion. Get out of here, Trubs! Sit down, Picks! It's time for the Reindeer to take the reigns!

Mason is essentially auditioning to keep his NFL career alive. Set to hit the open market in the offseason.

Doubt the Steelers view him as a long term plan. They will likely make him an offer to keep him as a backup and let him compete for the starting role. But Mason will probably try to find employment elsewhere.

Yes, we did, and the appropriate terminology in these parts ain't "y'all," it's "yinz." Anyway, sadly, I don't think Pickett will be the answer moving forward at this stage. I KNOW the reindeer won't be the answer moving forward, so there's that, for what it's worth.
