Where I disagree and where @gordontrue made a good point is we COULD USE BOTH of them. TT might fit better in the lineup but there is not reason both could make the lineup or at least get significant #'s. Not to mention it'd give us depth that we lack.

this is actually the type of series where a Love/TT front line would create a lot of problems for GS

Exactly what I was thinking. IMagine them going to their smaller line up and we come out with TT-Love-LBJ-Shump/JR-Delly

That works a lot better than having James Jones in.

But we'll let them smoke the "Kevin Love wouldn't be good for this team right now" pipe.

At the bare minimum is gives much needed depth and a SHOOTER to help out Bron.

Either way, we are all arguing over a hypothetical. Fact is there is no Kevin Love and we have taken 2 out of the first 3 which really surprised me. Hope we can keep it going, you just wonder how much is left in the tank.

Massive upgrade in every way. Can't even believe people are debating this.

It'd also keep GS out of their super small lineup, KLove has enough post scoring/rebounding to kill a small lineup (especially with TT playing next to him.)

From a big lineup perspective, it drags size away from the paint which always helps open up lanes for LeBron/cutters.

Also, it gives the cavs another guy they can go to which would take an ENORMOUS amount of pressure of LeBron.

Yeah any debate of us being better without an All-star just seems stupid.

Oh well, some peps on here are just pouncing at any opportunity to rip the cavs/bron/love

Never thought we'd be up 2-1. Playing with house money and it takes some of the nerves away. Nothing compares to how nervous I was before the Ohio State-Oregon game. Now if it gets to a g7 I'll need a defib close by

haha...got me again..

seriously though- the most points in NBA Finals history through the first 3 games? I am just stunned how this guy just delivers time and time again.

Dan Wetzel of Yahoo was making a good point- LeBron's isolations and going to the rim have effectively shortened the game and ruined the Warriors vaunted transition game. Wetzel said that holding ANY team to 4 fast break points is extremely extremely good- to hold the Warriors to 4 fast break points with how they play is damn near transcendent.

LeBron has not been efficient, but the offense he is running effectively chews clock like a good NFL running game and throws off the Warriors fast break offense and their fastbreak 3s which have been such a huge weapon for them- but have been pretty much non existent during this series.

LeBron is honestly doing stuff that just transcends what the stat book will tell you. He has totally impressed his will and has dictated the pace of the game himself. Its just crazy. Like i said- if he can pull off this Finals win- which is admittedly a LONG LONG LONG LONG way away- and like it or not Golden State is still probably the favorite if the odds I saw today are correct-

but if he can pull this off with 2 all stars in street clothes on the bench and another very good player out- beating this Golden State team would be in my opinion the greatest feat of LeBrons career

I do think Purguy makes a good point about this being Golden States 1st time here and that is showing- and Kobes tweet i thought was spot on- he basically said that Cleveland is playing like its life or death and GSW are playing like they think they will be back to multiple Finals.

Regardless....once the Cavs lost in a game they could have stole and Kyrie was lost for the series- after he looked so great in game 1- i just didnt know how the Cavs could possibly respond to adversity for the millionth time this year when this was the darkest it had gotten by far--- but some how they did- and here we are ...

Bron is just ridiculous

I just watched the Wade/James interview from last night and James told Wade that his 06 performance was better than his so far this series.

I agree.....In the whole playoffs- I used to think Love would have been most effective in a series against Golden State and chicago. After watching the games agaainst those two teams- I actually tend to think that Chicago would not have been super effective since it was important to match their defense and intensity with the same.

Watching these Golden State games you see where Love would have be so damn good. A. Just having a reliable option beside LeBron that can get 20 would have been huge B. The rebounding duo of Love and Thompson would have gotten everything that didnt go through the hoop C. Not that I dont like James Jones and the rest of the end of the bench but the extra 35 minutes of all-star caliber play wouldbe a huge deal. D. Without Kyrie it would be huge to have another playmaker/passer and with how he passes and creates fastbreaks he could have helped get a couple more easy baskets.

All of these are reasons why I hope Love is back. Its not because the Cavs NEED him to get to the Finals, and who knows- maybe they dont even need him to win it this year- but he would be huge in expanding the Cavs margin of error and I believe if he signs up for the next 4-5 years- and Bron, Ki and Love play together from their age 30-35, 23-28, and 27-32 seasons- in that 5 year stretch I think they could make at least 3 Finals , and maybe win a couple...

Without Love I think they could still make multiple finals and possibly win multiple finals over the next 5 years with just ky, lebron, tt and chorus....but I think Love would add in another appearance or two and trophy or two....the guy is a true differnce maker and i think once he becomes comfortable with his new role he will thrive in it. I still realize there is a fair chance he might leave-and if you believe the national media (the same national media that wrote off the Cavs chances- and many thought sweep) Love is gone the first chance he gets----but I really think watching LeBron and watching the Finals has impressed upon Love the kind of historical career he could possibly have.

Of course, Love could go home to Cali and be "the man" offensively, score 30 a night and be beloved anda huge star- or go to NY and get a ton of touches with Melo and play in the huge market--- or go to Boston with a great young coach and a decently talented young nuclues with a bunch of incoming picks and be treated like royalty there....

I really think he is watching LeBron and realizes that hey- this guy gets tot he Finals like every year. I could be James Worthy and win a few titles and be a hall of famer (and get paid a lot). I think thereis a fair consensus that its not likely Love can be the best player on a championship team- unless his supporting cast is damn good....and even though i dunno....theres no shame in beinga hall of famer and winning multiple titles while being the 2nd or third option.

"Just give the trophy to whoever comes out of the West, nobody in the East has a shot"
"The east is soooooo weak, half of those teams would be swept by the west"
"After love went down, -Theres no way they can beat this deep, healthy bulls team with a former MVP, MIP, a champion/all star in gasol WITHOUT kevin love"
"The hawks are the spurs of the east, theres no way the cavs can beat their superior ball movement and 3 point shooting without kevin love and a hobbled kyrie irving" Proceeds to sweep-
"The warriors are not like those garbage teams in the east, this team is DEEP and the cavs will be lucky to win a game against this superior western conference juggernaut"

-Outside of the boston series, this cavs team has been counted out for most of the playoffs by a large majority of people. I have no idea why people are so high on this soft warrior team that has played nobody in the playoffs that was healthy or half as determined as these cavs(or had Lebron on their team). After this game 3 loss, all i hear are people saying the cavs are in trouble because curry "found his rhythm in the 4th". The man made 5 pretty terrible and contested 3 point shots and now people are back to sucking him off EVEN THOUGH he scored 10 points throughout the 1st 3 quarters and has been outplayed by a backup PG.

Cavs in 5, 6 if they wanna win in cleveland.

Naw, she just trash.

Perhaps go back and look at the footage of James/The Heats first visit to Cleveland in 2011.

If she's your definition of trash, she's isolated to 1.

Your team OWNER promoted 20,000 fans to act the exact same way.

You wonder why so many root against him?

Our owner told fans to call Lebron a "punk ass bitch"? I think you need to check your facts, sports fan.

didn't the owner also write that poisonous letter after BronBron took off to the Heat? not saying Turnup's right or wrong, but you think that'd be beyond him...?
